From your experience, what is the best way to keep Gen Z engaged?

I recently came across an insightful CNBC.com article that delves into the growing impact of social media and influencers on Generation Z. As professionals in our field, we need to consider how this trend shapes our industry. From this article, I had three major takeaways that I think are important for providers in the training and coaching industry;

Generation Z is increasingly drawn to careers as influencers, with a substantial 57% expressing a preference for this path over more traditional occupations. This shift emphasizes the need for us to remain up-to-date and find ways to connect with and support this demographic effectively.

Influencer careers appeal to Gen Z primarily due to the potential for income generation, flexible work arrangements, and the intrinsic enjoyment of the work itself.

As professionals in our field, we must recognize these motivations and integrate financial literacy, flexibility, fulfillment, and engaging content into our leadership and personal development programs to resonate with our Gen Z participants.

The article also highlights an increasing level of trust placed in celebrities, athletes, and social media influencers by Generation Z. This suggests that influencers hold significant credibility and influence among this demographic.

As trainers and coaches, we must emphasize building trust and fostering authenticity in our interactions.

Additionally, gaining a deeper understanding of Gen Z's interests and identifying potential niches allows us to tailor our content and discussions for more effective engagement.

As professionals in the training and coaching industry, adapting our strategies and content to align with Generation Z's evolving career aspirations, motivations, and interests while prioritizing trust-building and authenticity has become increasingly critical for our success.

What strategies or initiatives have you implemented to engage with the Gen Z audience?
