From was to would or could be

Yet another rat race would soon have started now; to achieve the next stepping milestone.. many youngsters will now run for more stars, feathers in the cap and accolades...then finally to be chained to future successes & limelight disguised as long hours at work, stressed out evenings, confusing life in politics of perceptions at work and in the society.

Just before you jump into this long street of 'Las Vegas'....turn your back, take a last look at the best days you had.... your school carefree days.... don't forget to still hold onto some of those priceless strings [still in your reach] of life....your school buddies.... your future lifelines and honest and supporting peers. All the best to the freshers in colleges ....soon.

P.S.- Chill! Do not believe in the 'need for speed'; just think, you already have what you had wanted to achieve ... and it would be yours. Just huff hard and puff away, when the goings get tough! As every night, does have a bright lighted day always in some time, even when there's DST!
