From Within: The Struggles and Triumphs of Facing My Fears

“There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky.

And you ask, “What if I fall?”

Oh, but my darling, “What if you fly?” *

This week at Lake Como, within the 4PC community of extraordinary leaders, my deepest fears surfaced.?

No, it wasn’t the grandeur of the event.

It was being amongst other powerful women!!

That haunting feeling of insignificance, the looming specter of judgment, the uncertainty of belonging. Even writing about it brings up these emotions this very moment !

Yet, I’ve always believed that for me to fly, I personally must approach the edge. That’s the way…

Did my fears evaporate after days of intimate connection? No. But every shared moment, each profound dialogue with these women, guided me inward.

It’s through this introspection that I realized these fears are my experiences. They don’t define me, but they shape my journey.?

One conversation at a time, I collected evidence that my old stories could be rewritten. I could change from a life reported to a life created.

To deeply know that I get to live a created life of my choice, not a reported one.?

The essence of our lives lies not just in the stories we tell, but in the ones we choose to create and embrace. The sky offers more than a dream of flight; it signifies the boundless possibilities of a life consciously crafted.

As we navigate the tapestry of our lives, stitched with experiences, fears, and aspirations, it’s essential to pause and reflect. After all, our stories are not merely what happens to us, but how we choose to interpret and shape them.

So, as you move forward, consider:

What are the fears that hold you back? Are they truly barriers, or are they invitations to dig deeper?

What narratives have you accepted about yourself? Are they ones you’ve written, or have they been handed to you?

When faced with the vast expanse of the sky — the possibility to fly — what’s your first instinct? Do you see the potential fall, or are you captivated by the opportunity to fly?

Remember, every moment presents an opportunity.

It’s up to us whether we remain grounded by our fears or spread our wings, driven by the promises of what could be.?
