"The wind howled against my back as I pushed open the heavy glass door, a bell jingling overhead. Snow clung to my coat, melting in uneven patches as the warmth of the gallery embraced me. My fingers ached from the cold, my breath still visible in soft clouds. I had only come inside to thaw, to escape the bitter winter outside -but then I saw it. Two paintings on canvas, layers of deep greens, fiery oranges, and streaks of gold that seemed to crack the painting open like veins of light in a storm.

I stepped closer, my heartbeat slowing, my body forgetting its chill. The colors twisted and collided like emotions caught mid-motion, a perfect chaos that somehow made sense. It felt like movement, like longing, like something I had always known but never been able to name. My mind emptied, my worries dissolved - I was no longer just standing before a painting; I was inside it, swallowed whole by its energy. And in that moment, I understood something: the world was vast, wild, and unpredictable, but there was beauty in its turbulence. I had come in from the cold to warm my body, but I left with something greater; my soul, rekindled, burning bright."
