FROM WATCHES & LOVE… TO ISRAEL & WAR…

Helping clients with Construction. “I speak alot about watches”
As the war in Israel is going on, I felt it is insensitive to write about watches, while my brothers and sisters are dying, but after so many requests I felt it is time to write again, and write about watches that were inspired by Israel.
The first watch i must mention is Hublot 70 Year anniversary of Israel, this watch was made in limited edition of only 70 pieces, with a beautiful blue dial, as the color of the flag, and Hebrew letters which also translates to numbers as A equals 1, B equals 2, so on and so fourth.
Interesting thing is Hublot first came out with one variation, and they totally messed up the numbers, with instead of the number 11 and 12, they put 20 and 30. No wonder they messed up as it was their only watch they didn’t copy from someone else and couldn’t do it proper.
Back to the watch, a few years back I was international and saw this piece in the flash and was able to buy this watch officially their last piece at a price point of $13,000, in all honesty it felt good on my wrist but couldn’t see myself wearing such a watch, I'm glad I didn’t buy it.
Next up is Alain Silberstein Eli Eli, anyone that has ever seen a Alain Silberstein watch knows the special hands these watches have and the real innovation, you see in the past few years, Alain collaborated with Bell & Ross , Louis Erard SA and much more, these watches became sold out immediately.
While most people know the company as a collaborator or for these cute three color hands, Alain is actually a master watch Architect with his major work are in complicated watches, like the “Hebraika watch” which has a full jewish calendar with the leap year included and some watches even show in the back when Passover and sukkos are on the actual watch calendar based on the day month and year, which is truly insane, you need to be a master watchmaker to even understand how to organize the calendar and then work it out on a watch.
The biggest issue with Alain is, there are very rarely pictures of his watches and even when there is of his master pieces they are very not clear, unless its a collab with another brand, and they take the photos, which takes me very long to even find photos to present, but unlike other brands which copy paste most watches, Alain does everything original, and innovative.
Back to our Eli Eli watch, these watch is enameled the beautiful poem written in 1942 by Hanna Szenes during the holocaust, which later was composed a song of it, it reads in Hebrew translated to English, “My God, My God, never let it end: the sand and the sea, the sound of the water, the lightning of the sky and the prayer of man” when everyone was afraid the world will come to an end, and as the world is shaking we can use such a beautiful watch.

Another company which has contributed to Israel and Jerusalem is non other than Audemars Piguet , a company which is considered to be in “the holy trinity of watches”, this watch is a beautiful perpetual calendar rose gold, and there’s a variation in white gold with a beautiful moon phase and equation of time America.
These perpetual calendars are super rare and discontinued since I believe 2015, but they are a essential part of AP, as they are huge in high horology not just in the basic Royal Oak which is a best seller, the sad part is which the Jules as the shape didn’t really pick up, and AP has been stuck with this design and there’s even rumors that they will discontinue it.
To close off this week, there are a lot of other watch brands that have watches either inspired by Israel or named after parts of Israel, including the Patek Philippe Ref. 5130G-023, world time with a Jerusalem dial, and Vacheron Constantin “most complicated watch in the world ever” which took eight years to produce, and has a full perpetual jewish calendar and marks the year, month, day, holidays, and leap year based on the moon, and the other side it has a Greek watch which is our modern watch.
Here you have some beauty and love from watches to Israel.
Let me know what you think….
See you next week
