St Moritz Ski Bar at The Goring
The Goring has transformed its terrace into a magical and glamorous alpine bar, an ode to the ski resort, St Moritz. Expect expert barmen (flown in from Badrutt’s Palace hotel) serving family recipe cocktails, alongside comfort food at its finest. Swiss-inspired canapés include tartiflette, potato rosti and mustard macaroon with Emmental cheese and cured ham from Michelin-starred chef Shay Cooper. Sit and sip Suisesses in an elegant setting with twinkly lanterns, cosy sheepskins and cashmere rugs, with waiters clad in vintage ski jumpers, and be transported to one of the most luxurious ski resorts in the world. With the perfumed scent of pine in the air and the sound of Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra playing from a gramophone, The Goring’s St Moritz Ski Bar is the place to see and be seen this winter.

The Soho Ski Terrace at the Courthouse Hotel
The Courthouse Hotel on Carnaby Street has transformed its rooftop space, Soho Sky Terrace, into the Soho Ski Terrace – a cosy outdoor haven looking down over Central London. Complete with soft lighting and a welcoming design inspired by the iconic retro ski chalets of the 1950s, the terrace is awash with plush, soft furnishings, candle-lit lanterns and retro ski posters. With a capacity for up to 80 people standing and 60 sitting, it is available for corporate events and seasonal private parties – a unique way to celebrate during the colder months, in an opulent backdrop set against the central London skyline.

Narnia at The Churchill Bar
The Churchill Bar at Hyatt Regency has themed its winter terrace around the magical world of Narnia. Enter through wardrobe doors and snuggle under a cashmere throw with a hot water bottle this winter at The Churchill Bar. They have themed their winter terrace around the magical world of Narnia and have introduced festive cocktails to warm you up over the holiday season. The cocktails have been created with Green & Black’s chocolate and can be paired with a cheese or chocolate fondue to indulge while you sip. The imaginatively named cocktails would fit right in to a winter wonderland and are creatively presented to make them Instagram worthy. Signature drinks include ‘Beaver’s Brew’, Green & Black’s 85% organic cacao blended with Harviestoun Old Engine Oil porter and Bacardi Oakheart served warm in a copper mug. Just how Mr Beaver would enjoy it beside the fire.

Sipsmith Ski Lodge pops up at The Well

Traverse the slopes of Clerkenwell and leave your ski boots at the door of The Well. The popular neighbourhood gastro--pub and artisanal London distillers Sipsmith have transformed the downstairs cocktail lounge into a traditional Alpine ski lodge. Ditch your winter warmers for festive good--times, with cosy armchairs and fur rugs against a beautiful Alpine backdrop worthy of Julie Andrews-style frolicking. The ski lodge will be serving up a selection of Sipsmith’s winter cocktails including warming Mulled Sloe Gin and Dainty Damsel. Plough through the menu with The Well’s seasonal canapé and bowl food options. The Sipsmith ski lodge is also available for exclusive hire for groups of up to 70.

Montague Ski Lodge
Celebrate the festive season at the Montague Ski Lodge at The Montague on the Gardens – London’s original ski lodge and winter party venue. The Garden Grill has been transformed into a magical ski lodge, with pine trees, falling snow, reindeer, snowmen, ski racks, piste maps and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. The centrepiece is the bar serving a selection of beverages from a choice of 12 including Schnapps, flavoured vodkas, mulled wine and J?germeister. To help combat the cold and lightly drifting snowflakes, enjoy delicious candied pecans, mulled wine, winter Pimm’s, hot spiced cider, mugs of steaming hot chocolate and big woolly rugs, which will all help to keep you lovely and snug during the long winter nights. Tickets cost £25.00 and includes: choice of three drinks from a selection of flavoured vodkas, schnapps, mulled wine and hot chocolate cocktails; a festive platter including mini turkey burger, bratwurst sausage and deep fried camembert and a chance to win a Swiss Ski weekend.

London’s Largest Snow Globe
For the second time this year, Searcys The Gherkin is opening its doors to what is normally private members only – the top level 40, which has been transformed into a magical Christmas Snow Globe. The marble flooring has been transformed from black to white and dramatic lights give guests the feeling of being in a fairy tale snow globe and the iconic dome is dusted with an array of beautiful white decorations – including a 13ft white Christmas tree. For selected dates only the Gherkin are accepting bookings from smaller groups who wish to enjoy the festivities as part of a shared party night. Ideal for a team night out or festive celebrations with friends (for groups of 6 to 100).
