From Walls to Apparel: Artists with Disabilities are making a splash Pan India ??????

There’s no greater gift in the world than the gift of art and creativity. Our talented artists love conducting workshops so that they can share their passion for art with employees of prestigious companies and help them get away from stress, the uninvited guest in their lives. This is where the gift of art truly shines, offering not just a temporary escape, but a lasting source of inspiration and joy.?

Mindless Art Workshops with Gayatri Gupta

The essence of the Mindless Art workshops led by Gayatri Gupta, an extraordinary artist with Down syndrome, along with her dedicated mother, Shalini Gupta lies in the sanctuary that art provides. Gayatri has never travelled this far in her life due to her dietary restrictions and health complications. However, she decided to take up this journey, first to Jamshedpur, then to Maithan, so that she could share her love for art with the attendees of the workshop.

Looking at Gayatri’s immense passion for art, the employees were left awestruck as the stigmas in their mind regarding down syndrome and disabilities were rewritten from scratch. With her mother Shalini’s support, Gayatri was able to connect with the attendees and open their eyes to the transformative power of art. One by one, all attendees joined in, mesmerised by how gracefully Gayatri embraced art and urged them to do the same.

For a teenage girl with down syndrome who cannot eat outside food, this was a huge achievement! Not only did she step out of her comfort zone, but also ignited a love for art in the people she met at the workshop. The attendees in turn expressed their gratitude with a small token of appreciation for Gayatri which included a jute bag, a diary and a bottle.

Despite their corporate setting, these workshops blurred the lines of hierarchy and titles, as participants from all walks of life came together to immerse themselves in the creative process. What was meant to be a two-hour session effortlessly stretched into three, fueled by the genuine connections forged and the sheer delight of creation.

In a world of swirling thoughts and endless to-do lists, doodling is a whimsical remedy, inviting us to embrace spontaneity and playfulness. Varun Naren, a talented artist, brings this gift of doodling to life through engaging workshops that not only unleash creativity but also foster a sense of community and belonging.

Recently, Varun conducted a doodling workshop for Publicis Sapien, where employees discovered the joy of expressing themselves through squiggles and swirls. Amidst laughter and camaraderie, one participant even transformed Varun's name into a vibrant doodle, a testament to the bubbling energy of artistic collaboration.

The doodle of Varun’s name is a touching reminder of the reciprocal nature of artistic expression and further proof of the ripple effect created by art. The artwork made by the attendee is proudly showcased in the artist’s home, preserved in a frame to remind Varun of his artistic brilliance.
