From Waiting to Winning: Take Charge of your Waiting season!

I have learnt that life is in phases. One phase comes and it paves way for another.
But in between these phases, there will be waiting seasons even in your professional journey:
Waiting for admission, an application response, a job offer, a promotion, a breakthrough, a new semester, service year, etc.
We feel stuck, anxious and frustrated in those moments. That “fear of the unknown”
Recently, I have been in a waiting season in my professional journey and I have had all kinds of emotions until God changed my lens and gave me a different view of my waiting season.
We become so invested in the delay caused by the waiting season that we forget to prepare spiritually, mentally, financially and physically for the next phase.?
We forget to work on ourselves to be prepared and ready to accommodate the next phase.
This version of yourself cannot fully accommodate and maximize the next phase! You need an upgrade which can be achieved when you fully maximize your waiting season.
The power to overcome this phase is changing your lens!
Changing your lens does not mean that your environment has changed but that you have acquired the wisdom and power to navigate that phase and become a refined version of yourself ready to launch out and bloom in your new phase.
I will not tell you it is an easy and rosy experience but you can determine your outcome by changing your lens which will change your mindset and reflect in your actions.
THE NEW LENS??
Waiting seasons do not last forever!?
Your waiting season is just a phase and it will pass but what you make out of it will determine the outcome of the new phase you enter.
Are you going to enter your new phase bitter, angry, exhausted and unprepared?
Waiting seasons are not setbacks, they are stepping stones!?Waiting seasons are planting seasons!??
What kind of fruits do you want to see during your new phase? Plant the seeds now! What goals do you hope to accomplish during that new phase? Draft out the plans now!
It is the time to intentionally plant seeds that will bear fruits when the new phase comes.

Do not stay passive: Channel your energy into impact and productivity.
Do not be so consumed in the delay, rather channel your time and energy into being impactful and productive.
Look for ways to help and impact others. It does not always have to be about you. This is how impactful ideas are birthed and given the wings to fly.
You do not always have to also wait for opportunities to come to you.
You can start meaningful projects that aligns with your interests and passion. You can also volunteer and get hands-on-experience in your area of interest.
Refine your skills, update your CV, invest in your personal and professional development, take courses, attend trainings and conferences and network effectively, read books and grow your value.?
You will need these seeds.
Pray. Plan. Prepare?
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
The waiting season should be a period to recharge and gain clarity that helps you pivot or refine your career path. Spend quality time praying, planning and preparing towards the new phase. Spend time on your drawing board and prepare drastically for the next phase.
It is the light you get during your waiting season that will light up your path and give you speed as your run in your new phase.
Stay Positive and Keep Pushing
Surround yourself with positive people who will encourage you. Keep your eyes on the vision and do not loose hope. Stay joyful!

However, I have learnt that changing the lens requires intentionality. I have found value in making the most of the time through reading, praying, networking and learning new things.
