Piraeus 's and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency 's in Greece visit in the framework of Refugee Women Academy?
We had the honour of hosting Mrs Angeliki Bouki, Head of CEO’s Office and Head of Group Cultural & Social Initiatives Unit at Piraeus Bank and Mrs Maria Clara Martin , Representative of UNHCR Greece, on a visit to Odyssea where they met the participants of the Refugee Women Academy. A new initiative specifically designed for refugee and/or asylum-seeking women implemented within the framework of Piraeus Bank’s EQUALL programme, and in close collaboration with UNHCR.
During their visit, Mrs Bouki and Mrs Martin expressed their gratitude to the women while emphasizing the importance of challenging stereotypes and empowering women to integrate into work environments. The participants also took the opportunity to express their appreciation for the programme and highlighted how it made them feel a sense of belonging with one of the women mentioning, "At Odyssea, I forgot that I am a refugee”.
Integrating child care support in our efforts to make Refugee Women Academy accessible to all women?

Fostering global change in Izmir???
Odyssea's recent participation in the 6th annual summit of the Refugee Entrepreneurship Network (REN) showcases our commitment to making a positive global impact. During the summit, a workshop entitled "Collective Fundraising: How can refugee entrepreneurship organisations collaborate more effectively to unlock larger amounts of capital through international coalitions?'' was led by Jai Mexis from Odyssea, Charlie Fraser from TERN - The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network , and Hanna Wieten from DELITELABS .
The event also included networking sessions and discussions exploring global expansion opportunities. By emphasising the importance of refugee entrepreneurship on a worldwide scale, Odyssea actively contributed to the constructive dialogues that are shaping the future of this vital topic.
Going above and beyond with the support of Lidl Hellas ??
On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Odyssea joined forces with Lidl Hellas to distribute 100 boxes filled with essential products necessary for every family. Our box was called “The Box of Love” and not only included products such as 1 litre of olive oil, legumes, bread, and sanitation products?but also embodied values of solidarity, compassion, and positivity.
Launching a STEAMulus event for SENSE. project??
The launching event for our upcoming STEAM-focused workshops was an exciting kick-off to a journey of skill development and work readiness. From engaging icebreakers to identifying the essential characteristics needed for work readiness, including teamwork, empathy, leadership, and more, the participants were introduced to a dynamic and collaborative learning environment centered on STEAM education. In a mission to clean up the Pagasetic Gulf with the #typhoon_project of Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation
Odyssea contributed to the coastal cleanup of the #typhoon_project by removing 30,000 pieces of plastic from the Alykes beach in Volos, an area that was affected by the floods.?
Odyssea part of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) EU Policy Camp in Brussels
As fresh members of the EVBB, we joined the EU Policy Camp, in Brussels, Belgium, an event organised as part of the operational grant META VET. During the camp, we embraced the EU's latest priorities in inclusion, green initiatives, and digital transition. It was an opportunity to integrate these priorities into Odysseas' programmes, ensuring their widespread implementation. See more, here !

Thodoris Kostoulas , Fundraising Coordinator, represented Odyssea at the Spark Lab event organised by InnoEUsphere and INQUIRIUM . The event focused on exploring various Erasmus+ Calls, engaging in brainstorming sessions, presenting innovative project proposals and networking opportunities to foster collaboration.
