In this special feature for RedHolt Pulse and Play, Chris opens up about the passion, strategy, and purpose behind his work. From the sources of inspiration that fuel his creativity to the challenges and triumphs along the way, he shares a glimpse into what it means to not just work in the recruitment industry—but to redefine it.

Here’s what Chris had to say about his journey, his vision, and how he hopes to inspire the next generation of leaders and creators.

1. Chris, congratulations on being named one of the Top 200 Creators by Favikon in the UAE. How does it feel to receive this recognition, and what does it mean to you personally and professionally?

It feels fantastic. All I have to admit I was genuinely shocked when I was tagged into the post on LinkedIn that made me aware that this global ranking system even exist! Personally it’s a huge compliment, but professionally it feels like it puts some credibility behind something that I spend so much time investing my efforts in because I have such a deep belief that digital presents the creating valuable content, is genuinely valuable commercial activity in the modern economy.

2. What are some key factors or strategies that have played a significant role in your success so far, and how have these helped shape your own personal brand, OTTRED and Redholt into the company it is today?

First of all, and probably most significantly making the commitment to specialise in one particular area, streaming. Doing this has an allowed me to be more consistent with the content that I make as well as using the process of producing the content as an educational process for myself, therefore making, the narrative stronger and more compelling with each production. As the founder of a global community with almost 2000 people in it I think that it’s important for me to demonstrate to the members that I am active and creating content allows me to demonstrate that as well as attracting new members.

3. Being recognized as a creator is a testament to your impact and influence. What do you hope to achieve through your work, and how do you want to inspire others in your industry?

I’m actually super passionate about this point so I appreciate this question so much! I have a deep belief based on my extended observations that ironically the media industry produces very little media/content to help its own commercial objectives. I can totally understand why, when your primary proposition is based on the production of media ironically it seems less obvious to do this on behalf of your own company, but I hope that receiving this recognition captivates the attention of some of the companies in my space that I’d love to work with and how they can use content creation to help grow their business and revenue.?

4. As someone who has built a successful career in a highly competitive field, what role do creativity and innovation play in your approach to leadership and business growth?

This is a really interesting point for me because being creative and innovative isn’t really a decision that I’ve ever made, they are characteristics that I am lucky enough to possess. Having said that I do believe that my constant energy for innovation and creativity means that I am always trying to develop, valuable and interesting products and propositions for the market. I believe this is one of the key reasons that we have managed to grow RedHolt/OTTRED so distinctively since we started.?

5. What was one defining moment in your career that made you realize your work could inspire and influence others, and how has that shaped your path forward?

Without a doubt the defining moment when it comes to this particular point was being invited as a guest to The RAG podcast hosted by Sean Anderson IN 2019. It was my first experience I’ve been put in front of a camera under microphone and the immediate impact to our brand through the exposure we got from the guest on the podcast was tangible. The second thing was when Covid hit, I realised that the horizon of opportunities to make money Was going to become dramatically smaller and so I adopted content creation as a way to remain present within the market so that potential customers had me at the front of their mind when they needed to use a recruitment agency.

6. For those who look up to your achievements, what advice would you give to aspiring creators and entrepreneurs who want to make an impact in the world of streaming, media, and digital entertainment?

Number one, don’t overthink it. When you have a great idea for a piece of content just make it. Number two get familiar with how to use editing apps I always use CapCut. A well edited piece of content will go much further and look much more professional. Finally, don’t underestimate how much proximity you can generate to your potential market and existing clients by using content creation and distribution regularly.

Conclusion:

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, it’s clear that the future belongs to those who combine creativity with strategic leadership—leaders who inspire, innovate, and build communities that drive real impact. Chris Redmond’s journey reflects this perfectly: from reshaping recruitment in the streaming, media, and entertainment sectors to fostering the thriving OTTRED community of over 2,000 global professionals, he exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose and vision.

The lesson? In an industry as dynamic as digital entertainment and talent acquisition, success requires more than traditional methods. It demands bold ideas, authentic engagement, and a commitment to delivering value. Chris’s insights show that the true power of a creator lies not just in content but in building ecosystems of connection, collaboration, and growth.

For companies and professionals looking to stay ahead, the call to action is clear: embrace innovation, foster creativity, and connect deeply with the communities you serve. Those who do won’t just keep pace—they’ll define the future of their industries.
