Can you tell us about your background in urban planning and how you transitioned into the IT field @Hn Services?
I finished Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urban Planning with a master degree in Urban mobility.
My first job was in Urban Mobility for a Traffic study company with EU funds, then I started working in a company in architecture and urban planning.
My opportunity within the IT world came when I discovered an interesting project in HN Services for a French company. They needed someone with a background in architecture and urban planning, with specific software skills used in the industry.
Have there been any challenges in transitioning from a business support engineer to a QA tester, and if so, how have you overcome them?
I had some challenges in the transition to a totally new and different domain from what I was used to, but with some study, I managed to overcome my fears and doubts by receiving continue support from HN and also from my new French manager.
What advice would you give to someone looking to transition into a career in quality assurance, especially coming from a different field like urban planning or IT support?
If you are willing to enter the IT domain and you are not sure about your decision, I think the best way is to start with something like QA. This opportunity can open lots of doors and you can find out if this can suite your professional career or not. You can enter and evolve in a huge domain as IT where you can overcome yourself and grow not just professionally, but also personally.
