From Trump on Down, the Republicans Can’t Be Serious
From the NYTimes.com
"For while it’s true that Mr. Trump is, fundamentally, an absurd figure, so are his rivals. If you pay attention to what any one of them is actually saying, as opposed to how he says it, you discover incoherence and extremism every bit as bad as anything Mr. Trump has to offer. And that’s not an accident: Talking nonsense is what you have to do to get anywhere in today’s Republican Party."

This is Gary Gile speaking. The quote above was presented by Mike Jay to his Inner Circle members a week or so ago. Below is his take on the first Republican debate. I am on a lot of political newsletters, I find the subject fascinating. Most recently I read a poll that said Dr. Ben Carson came out on top of the debates, followed by Donald Trump. From my perspective it probably won’t matter who wins the election as things may not change until the people do.
It is also interesting to note, perhaps for similar reasons, that the self-proclaimed socialist, Bernie Sanders, was leading Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire race.

Now here’s Mike’s take on the article quoted above:
[NOTE: to best understand what Mike is saying you will need to know a little about Spiral Dynamics, which will help you understand the reference to the different colors mentioned in Mike’s post. A good quick read on SD is at https://www.fee.org/the_freeman/detail/spiral-dynamics-an-overview#ixzz2iGhE5SZJ]
Interestingly enough, all positions are absurd... and irrational to others who hold different perspectives!
You could say...
The true test of a paradigm shift is the 2016 U.S. Election...?
Nothing is as absurd to me as the Clinton Method and the use of the entire RfR [Rules for Radicals] platform which serves the current administration overly abundantly... is that correct grammar?
I try to watch TRUMP whenever I can because it's the pure "ORANGE" exemplified... absurd in its display perhaps, but running prodigiously in the 1% who spray their money and their memes like a paint stripper on a pristine interstate.
GREEN will have proven ineffective and the faux-green Clinton "system" demarking BLUE's journey with GREEN escaping all the "light" elements of ORANGE materialism, while sucking a black hole with the dark... are absurd.
Absurdity is like the market in Camotes Island, it just depends on what you want to buy.
Trump will not get the republican nomination...
Nobody wants to win that bad.
And depending on who funds him -- RfR would have a field day to fund him -- there's a good chance we could see a three-way race to the wire.
Trump is unabashedly saying what most people are too PC to utter, but what a large constituency believes -- absurd as it may be.
People are tired of GREEN's absurd relativism that advantages the 1%, ingratiates the 5% and leaves the rest wanting.
The case for GREEN has always been elitism rather than justice.
There isn't anyone who with colored glasses could point to what has taken place and its rapidly unfolding aftermath and say anything... but absurd, so the game spins Trump.
In the next few weeks, unless he says something to totally break the spell, you will see a "third way" emerge...
This will be the most "colorful" campaign in history... especially if he "learns" quickly, which is a toss-up at this point... and if he does, if he is able... we could see a three-way race for the inflection point of the fading paradigm in the USA... extending us into the 2020 chaos.
It would by dictum – RfR -- polarize everything, which is the "dark" solution waiting for the conditions by which fragmentation is pining.
We WONT CHANGE unless we have to and this election is REALLY ABOUT THAT CHANGE....
FEW realize that the WAR CYCLE is peaking over the next 5 years... and the reason that there is EVEN A WAR CYCLE is manifest in the "absurd" notion that a single way has emerged.
If we look closely -- using your colored glasses, you need to understand that what is next for an ever-growing majority of the world is RED, not any other constellation of memes.
Trump's absurdity is a rising recollection that leaders getting too far out in front of their followers leave a "shadow" that allows the absurdity of our notions to flourish, as they serve the conditions in the shadow.
That's why Trump -- absurd as he may sound -- is striking a chord that is hard to the ears at times but resonant with the crazy aunt in our basements.
Moving too far, too fast is absurd...
And that remains evident.
As to the music to our ears -- the off-key karaoke of Trump... may not be so absurd after all.

I had to write separately about this one!
"Can Mr. Trump actually win the nomination? I have no idea. But even if he is eventually pushed aside, pay no attention to all the analyses you will read declaring a return to normal politics. That’s not going to happen; normal politics left the G.O.P. a long time ago. At most, we’ll see a return to normal hypocrisy, the kind that cloaks radical policies and contempt for evidence in conventional-sounding rhetoric. And that won’t be an improvement."

I'm sorry but I couldn't resist.
Representing a swath of people who believe it's ok to talk out both sides of their mouth while representing that opposing realities are both truth ignores the absurdity contained within.
I love it, as a coach, when I see someone model the problem while discussing how bad the problem is without realizing that in the process, the modeling is more relevant than a 1000 words.
