One of the dangers of exposing yourself to too much new information all at once is that you end up in the land of overwhelm. But far more dangerous than that is that you don't retain anything you learned long enough to transform.?
I've spend the past two weeks in Estonia focusing on personal and professional development. I've had the great privilege to hear from masterful speakers and trainers from around the world. Let's just say, I have a lot of notes.
But perhaps the most meaningful experience I've had is the time in between sessions where I sat with my notes and contemplated how I would incorporate my insights into my life once I get home.
To be honest, I've never done that before, but it's a total game changer and I want to recommend it to you as well.
Build in extra time after you watch a documentary, read a self-help book, or take an online course. Ask yourself, "What are the most pivotal pieces that I want to weave into my life?" and then consider how you might do that.
Take immediate action while the information is still fresh in your mind.
As I wrap up my journey here at Mindvalley University, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn from those more advanced than me, for the time I got to spend contemplating my future, and for the chance to also present my keynote on resentment to my colleagues during the conference.?
Coming to this event was a dream I've been waiting to fulfill for over a year. Speaking on the Mindvalley stage was also a dream come true.
How lucky am I?

I have been in private practice for 36 years and found that the best way for me to keep fresh is to be sure to have time off (napping or exercising), time with my wife and family, and reachable goals in the area of personal growth.
