Many companies apply named entity annotation in various application scenarios.

Annotators typically face three types of entity annotation tasks: keyword annotation, named entity recognition, and part-of-speech tagging. Among them, proper nouns, new words, or terms occupy the vast majority of named entities ("unregistered words").
