From Teamwork to Family: Reflections on the G.O.A.T. Experience

I want to share my incredible experience at Le Royal Meridien Doha, particularly as part of the "G.O.A.T." Sports Lounge pre-opening team. This journey has profoundly shaped both my professional skills and personal character.

From the moment I joined, I felt excitement and anticipation, knowing we were creating a welcoming space for guests. However, I quickly realized that this journey would require hard work, collaboration, and resilience.

We faced numerous challenges-tight deadlines, unexpected obstacles, and moments of uncertainty. Yet, through these trials, I learned the true meaning of teamwork. Each member brought unique strengths, and together, we became a cohesive unit, celebrating victories and learning from setbacks.

I stepped out of my comfort zone, taking on responsibilities that taught me valuable lessons about leadership and growth. I discovered that embracing discomfort can lead to significant personal development.

Along the way, I was inspired by my colleagues’ passion, which ignited my drive for excellence. I learned to view challenges as opportunities for growth and to approach every situation with a positive mindset.

One of the most important lessons I learned was the value of empathy and service. Every decision we made impacted our guests’ experiences, deepening my commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels valued.

As we prepare to open the doors of the "G.O.A.T." Sports Lounge, I reflect on how far we’ve come-not just as a team, but as a family. The late nights, brainstorming sessions, laughter, and even tears have forged lasting bonds. After opening, we became more than a team; we became a family. Even now, we remain in touch. I want to say thank you to everyone who was part of the "G.O.A.T." family; the journey with you was memorable and truly the best.
