From Student to Family Finance Warrior: My Post-Graduation Mission

Beyond Balance Sheets: Building Financial Futures for All

My MBA isn't the end, it's the beginning. My journey at Franklin University Master of Business program isnt just about crunching numbers; its about building the launchpad for a bigger dream: a non-profit financial services firm dedicated to empowering families and small businesses. 2023 was beyond amazing. It was humbling and it helped me form and articulate my vision.

For too long, I, like many single mothers, lived paycheck to paycheck, the complexities of personal finance shrouded in exhaustion and a gnawing belief that it was all out of reach. But through the inspiring Women at Work program through ASPYR and the Columbus Financial Empowerment Center I saw a light. That spark lit a fire within me, a fire to build a space where financial literacy isn't a privilege, but a readily available tool for smart investments and wealth-building.

I envision a space where financial literacy isn't a privilege, but a birthright. For too long, I lived paycheck to paycheck, exhausted and convinced that understanding my finances was a luxury reserved for the Wall Street elite. Not anymore. My community deserves the same financial tools as Warren Buffett community, and I'm here to build them.

My services won't be for the high rollers. I'm talking workshops for single parents like me, financial planning for the corner store owner, and investment guidance for the family down the street. I want to see moms confidently navigate their finances, small businesses thrive, and communities rise together, one empowered dollar at a time.

This fire burns bright because of the faces I hold dear. My children, family, and community are my fuel. They're the reason I push through late nights and costantly set new goals. By equipping others with financial knowledge, I'm investing not just in their wallets, but in their futures, their families' futures, and generations to come. As a childwelfare worker at The Buckeye Ranch I believe that if more families have greater financial knowledge they will be more apt to foster parent and kinship will be more empowered to open their homes. Even with the support of agencies, taking on the role of supporting another child is not just life changing; its also an added expense.

Combining my passion for finance, my desire to serve, and my thirst for adventure, I can't wait to see what the future holds. Come on #2024. The path ahead may be challenging, but the thought of empowering families, enriching lives, and exploring the world keeps my fire burning bright.

This isn't just a dream, it's a work in progress. I'm building my firm, brick by brick, and expanding my financial knowledge base every day. If you're a single parent seeking one-on-one financial guidance, reach out to me directly at 614-974-6808. Let's build financial futures together, one empowered step at a time.

Join me on this journey. Share your stories, your struggles, your financial aspirations. Let's create a community where financial literacy isn't a privilege, but a shared power, a tool to build brighter tomorrows for ourselves, our families, and our world.

Together, we can rewrite the financial narrative.
