From Stuck to Scale: Why I chose coaching to help empower Entrepreneurs

If you had told me 10 years ago that I’d be coaching entrepreneurs for a living, I probably would have laughed it off. At that time, I was working at a SaaS startup, focused on changing the way we navigate the world.? I was leading sales teams, building strategies, and directly responsible for driving revenue. But more significantly, I was building myself. I had fully reset my life after getting separated at 32 years old and was on a path to focus on myself and only doing things I was passionate about.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the good fortune of generating over $200M in revenue and working with some of the world’s most iconic brands. I have built and led teams, I have been taught and mentored and have been a teacher and a mentor.? I have been part of amazing opportunities and changed companies, but amongst all this I always struggled to truly find where I provided the most value and feel valuable.? Along this incredible journey, I started to realize the most rewarding part of my career wasn’t the numbers, the accolades, or the deals…it was the people.

I’ve loved working with my team members and helping them grow. Digging into what someone wanted out of their career and then seeing them develop confidence, take on challenges, and achieve something they never thought possible? That lit me up! Then I found myself on my own entrepreneurial journey as I pushed myself into the world of real estate investing. To grow my business and my network, I found myself in conversations with other entrepreneurs — agents, investors, wholesalers, property managers — who were struggling with the same challenges I’d seen time and time again in my professional life.

The Spark That Ignited My Journey

On networking calls with fellow investors, I started asking a simple question:

“What do you feel stuck in with your business? How can I support you?”

The answers poured out.

They felt stuck finding clients.

They felt stuck closing deals.

They felt stuck figuring out how to scale.

These were challenges I’d navigated countless times before. The approach to solving these blockers had become second nature to me.? But to them, these problems felt massive and overwhelming. So when I was able to help them shift their mindset, simplify their approach, and focus on solutions, I saw something amazing happen: relief, confidence, and clarity.

That’s when it clicked. I realized I could use my 25+ years of experience to help these mavericks unlock their potential and build thriving businesses. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone transform — going from stuck and overwhelmed to empowered and in control.

The Heart of My Coaching

Many of the entrepreneurs I work with come to me feeling defeated, though they rarely say it outright at first. As we dive into their business challenges, the walls start to come down. They become vulnerable, sharing how their struggles are impacting not just their business but their lives…their families, their mental health, their sense of purpose.

That’s where the real work begins.

Together, we take a raw, honest look at what’s holding them back. We strip away the lies they’ve been telling themselves — like “I don’t have enough time to….” or “People like to waste my time.” Instead, we focus on the truths they can control:?

We set the right targets — ones that can be measured?

We establish the daily actions that need to take place

And we stay accountable

This process is transformational. It unlocks clarity, confidence, and a sense of control they haven’t felt in their business. When we’re in the corporate world, we get this support from our managers, team leaders and mentors, but when we step out on our own, all of a sudden we feel like we need to take it on alone!? My coaching allows me to be that support and helpful guide to my clients, so they don’t have to feel like they’re at this alone. Watching someone step into their potential and start designing the life they’ve always dreamed of? That brings me fulfilment.

Paying It Forward

I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible leaders and mentors who shaped me into the leader I am today. They guided me through challenges, taught me invaluable lessons, and showed me the power of true leadership. Coaching is my way of paying it forward.

But instead of building another massive corporation or driving up profits for shareholders, I’m focusing my energy on the entrepreneurs — the dreamers and doers who are taking bold steps toward building something meaningful.

Seeing their stress melt away, watching their confidence grow, and witnessing the ripple effect of their success in their families and communities? That’s what keeps me motivated every single day.
