From Stress to Serenity: Reconnecting to Your True Self
Tracey Gazel
?? I help leaders improve mental clarity and focus, sleep better, feel calmer with less stress, be present at home and enjoy life more.
How you are feeling is a compass of how connected you are to your True Self.
If you are feeling low, down, stressed, tense, anxious, that is simply a sign that you are not connected to your True Self.
It is a reminder.
It's nothing to feel bad about; it's just information. It’s data.
Once you realize with your compass, “Oh I feel off today, I feel down, I don't feel that great”, that is your cue to navigate your way back towards your True Self.
Your True Self is not something that you look for outside of yourself, externally, to go find out in the world.
It’s something that you look for inside.
It’s your space of calm, contentment, and peace.
It’s who you really are.
It’s your calm centre.
It is the place that meditators access when they meditate, but you do not need to meditate to access it.
It's always there inside you.
What you are looking for to connect to your True Self is a feeling.
It doesn't come through on a thought because when you're in your thoughts, you are not in your True Self.
Rather, it is about letting go of all thinking to access it, especially the thinking that is trying to solve why you don't feel good.
That is where most of us get stuck –
Sometimes we think to ourselves, “Oh I'm feeling down, I'm feeling frustrated, I'm feeling upset; I need to figure this out. I need to look outside of me in my life and determine what I need to fix so I can feel better”.
No, that's backwards!
The only way out is to let go of all thinking.

Especially the thinking that wants to fix anything.
Let go of it all and you soften back into the space of being grounded in your True Self, which is the space of well-being, calm, contentment and peace.
Even when life isn't perfect.
Not only that, when you're in that space you get answers of what to do next.
As you sink back into that space of your True Self, you get fresh thinking and insights that help you and give you information of how to solve any problem in your life you're working on, whether it be a job, a relationship, or anything else.
Instead of going out in the world to try solve and fix things so that you can feel better, first focus on feeling better and connecting to your True Self.
Then from that space, you will receive a higher quality of thinking that brings answers for your next action step.
It’s counterintuitive from how we have learned to operate in life.
But when you find it, you realize that your True Self has been there waiting for you all along.
?
I'm launching a group program designed for those ready to connect with their True Self and live from a place of peace and well-being. Participants will learn how to practically apply this and be their best self in all areas of life—at work and at home. The program will also teach you how to access a calm, clear state of mind to handle any situation and to access a deeper enjoyment of life.
The group starts in October (date to be confirmed) and will include meditation exercises, short weekly lessons (5-10 minutes), and group coaching calls.
If you would like to hear more information about the group, send me an email at [email protected] and say “Learn more” and I would be happy to share more details.
