I'm asking everyone who gets this message to help impact the life of this teacher and her students. Together, we can do something awesome! Let's use this platform to be awesome and reach into the lives of 48 underprivileged students.
In an extraordinary, unscheduled broadcast, The Patrick Bass Show featured Jennifer Dees , a dedicated fifth-grade teacher from Texas who has turned her passion for teaching into a transformative mission. Jennifer's story is a testament to resilience, dedication, and the power of making a difference in young lives.
Jennifer began her journey in education as a stay-at-home mom of four. When her youngest child entered high school, she followed her dream of becoming a teacher. In 2012, she took a position as a special education aide in a junior high school, where she discovered her love of working with children. The joy of seeing students' eyes light up when they understood something new drew her deeper into the profession.
Determined to make a bigger impact, Jennifer went back to school in 2019 to become a certified teacher. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she persevered and graduated Phi Theta Kappa in 2022. Now, Jennifer teaches fifth-grade language arts and social studies, focusing on helping her students overcome the setbacks caused by the pandemic.

Jennifer's dedication goes beyond the classroom. Faced with inadequate grammar curriculum materials, she took it upon herself to find and purchase a more effective program. Her initiative led to significant improvements in her students' performance, earning her the admiration of her peers.
Teaching in a tier-one, low-income district means Jennifer often has to supplement classroom supplies out of her own pocket. Her goal this year is to provide each student with three-ring binders, index card boxes, and an expanded classroom library to foster a love for reading. However, the school's limited budget and the parents' financial constraints make it challenging to meet these needs.
Recognizing Jennifer's dedication, The Patrick Bass Show is promoting a GoFundMe campaign to raise $3,500 for her classroom. Every dollar raised will go directly towards purchasing essential supplies to ensure her students have the tools they need to succeed.
