From a sportsman to Salesforce developer. Janusz ?wiercz's story.

This is another inspirational story from the Cloobees team. Janusz ?wiercz was once a sportsman, coach, multidisciplinary instructor, school teacher and is now a professional Salesforce developer. At Cloobees we welcome ambitious people ready to make a pivotal career change. Here is Janusz's story :

Changing your career can be quite daunting due to the uncertainty, the financial challenges, and thinking the grass is greener on the other side. However, joining Cloobees around a year ago marked a pivotal change in my career. Before joining Cloobees, I was multidisciplinary sports instructor, salesman and fitness coach. I remember my first glimpse of Salesforce, working for accommodation/real estate abroad. But, I’d never thought of wading into this environment, I’d never considered myself a tech guy or better yet, a developer candidate. However, Cloobees provided all kinds of support and because of the dynamically changing trade there’s always room for newcomers.?

So, why the leap to the world of IT? I could recount three tangible things to consider here:

The first would be?The Cloobees Academy. The academy is a nice way to learn and work alongside experienced mentors on the area you would like to specialised in. Trust me there are a lot of questions at the beginning, but the academy is a good way to start your learning path in an organised thought out way without bogging yourself down with too many questions. As the proverb goes, ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’, so as long as you open to learn then the academy is for you!?

Another is?the?Journey to Certification. Within the first three months, quite still possibly being a part of the academy, internship, or self-study of any kind, you pass an entry-level Cert/Cert’s to kickstart your understanding and then you are assigned internal projects or task groups to gain real experience. You can then progress onto more certifications.?Trailheads, Success Community, SF for Developers?are also knowledge sources worth mentioning, as you can use them as Q&A panel at whichever point of your transformation.?

And then comes the exciting part,?Your First Commercial Project. This can seem stressful for some but hey, you're part of the team! In terms of Vlocity/SF Industries, the most associable things would be DataTools and OmniScripts, EPC product catalogue, CPQ and external API. Those are the things that Vlocity industries projects will more than likely touch somehow. But more generally speaking you will be introduced to Agile Methodology and lots of new nomenclature. But don’t worry, you're never alone and you will get help from experts, as that’s the Cloobees way of working!????

A career in SF?creates an almost endless field for self-development and professional interactions. The sky is the limit! At least that is my impression of Cloobees, who have made it possible to change my career and I believe it's a great place to work and I’m happy I took my chances.?
