With AI demands surging, space-based data storage might just be the next frontier. Curious? I don’t plan on sending packets to space, it feel like littering today, ask me in another year or 5 and we’ll see!

Did you know 92% of university students in the UK are now using Generative AI tools like ChatGPT for their coursework? From drafting research ideas to summarizing articles, students are leaning on AI for everything—but not without controversy. Universities are scrambling to adapt their assessments while balancing education with technology.
Here’s the tricky part—only 36% of students have received actual AI training from their institutions. Is this the right approach to shaping tomorrow’s workforce? I personally know university professors who are designing assignments to suss out a student’s actual knowledge by requiring them to assess AI’s outputs in their assignments. Was the information accurate? What did it do well? what did AI do poorly?
Human discernment is so important to teach to our young ones. It’s all we’ll have left!

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says next-gen AI models will require 100x more computation than older iterations—thanks to new step-by-step reasoning techniques. With a historic 93% boost in their data-center revenue last year, NVIDIA seems unstoppable in powering the AI revolution.
Key takeaway? Innovation comes at a cost, it’s currently contributing to global warming at an insane rate. We’ve seen various studies on this, in BC there’s a researcher who is working on a thorough breakdown on the environmental impact of increased data centers and the electricity usage of AI. When the data is public, we will be sure to share.

Users can learn ASL through AI-driven feedback or record signs to help build a public dataset. The aim? Enhance real-time translation tools to close communication gaps between Deaf and hearing communities.
Whether you want to pick up new skills or make a real-world impact, Signs is worth checking out. I used to teach moms how to sign withe babies 20 years ago. The connection you can have with your little one through sign is amazing. Babies can sign way before they can talk, even as young as 3-4mo old.
