From Singapore to Russia (Part II)

In January 2022, we helped our customer shipped his car from Singapore to St Petersburg.

5 months later, (because of the sanctions) we are ready to receive his car back in Singapore.

In this article, we are going to look at the container unstuffing process.

As the cargo we are talking about is a perfectly functioning car that is worth more than 200 thousand Singapore Dollars, we have to be very careful when we handle the container.

Basically, we will be lifting the container off from the trailer/chassis and place it on the ground. Next, we will attached a ramp for the car to be driven out of the container.

First step; Lifting the container off the trailer using a heavy duty forklift, for the grounding.

Second step; After we have positioned and grounded the container, we are now ready to cut the seal.

Third step; We opened the container doors and positioned a ramp for the car to be driven out. The chocks and lashing will be removed subsequently.

As the car was placed in the container for 2.5 months before it reaches the shore of Singapore. The owner of the car has to overcome several challenges before the car finally agree to move.

Finally the car was driven out from the container.

Before we call it a day, it is our responsibility to clean up the container before returning it to the depot so that the next shipper will have a clean container to use.
