From the sim to NASCAR: the story of Ty Majeski
NASCAR has been among the first organizers to have an official videogame and host an official eSports league. Drivers emerging from the eNASCAR are considered true talents from a real feeder series, and many of them are getting the opportunity to go real racing! One such name is Ty Majeski, a young and talented driver who has been making his name in racing.?
Born on June 15, 1994, in Seymour, Wisconsin, Ty Majeski developed a passion for racing at a young age, influenced by his family's involvement in motorsports. Majeski's father, Tim, was a former racer. His grandfather also had a racing background.
Ty Majeski's racing career began in his teenage years at the local short tracks in Wisconsin. He quickly established himself as a fast driver, earning numerous wins and championships in the Late Model division. Majeski's dominance on the short tracks caught the attention of racing enthusiasts and industry insiders, who recognized his immense talent and potential.
But he still needed one more step to fill the big gap to NASCAR. And then, simracing came in. He started racing online and soon became one of the best sim racers on oval tracks. Competing in virtual championships, he became the highest-rated, and finally, in 2016, Majeski caught the eye of Roush Fenway Racing, one of the most successful teams in NASCAR. He joined their driver development program and began racing in the ARCA Menards Series. Majeski's debut season was impressive, with six wins and just one second place in the championship standings.
The following season, Majeski was already racing between NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the second and third most important NASCAR championship, earning several top-ten finishes. These performances further solidified his reputation as a rising star in the stock car racing environment.

After several top-ten finishes, granting him the recognition he deserved from his colleagues, Majeski finally won a race in Bristol in 2022. The second win arrived two races later in Homestead.
Looking ahead, Ty Majeski's future in racing seems promising. Majeski's long-term goal is to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series, the pinnacle of stock car racing. Given his achievements and the backing of Roush Fenway Racing, it seems only a matter of time before he realizes this dream.
Majeski was a talented driver wishing to race at a professional level. He had some tough times in his early career but used simracing to fill the gap that prevented him from becoming a professional. Simracing is becoming the link between talented drivers and pro racing, and Ty Majeski has been a forerunner of that!
