- Thailand: Heavy rain and floods have affected at least 45,000 households in 35 provinces. Authorities have warned the catastrophe could last through until October 9.?
- Australia: Sydney has recorded the wettest year since 1858.?
- India: The IT capital of India, Bangalore witnessed heavy rainfall, leaving one person dead and 75 localities inundated, displacing residents of nearly 2,000 flooded houses, damaging 20,000 vehicles, and marooning 10,000 other residences.?
- Italy: 10 people die as heavy rains and floods hit Italy’s central region of Marche, while another four people are still missing.?
- Nigeria: 27 of Nigeria's 36 states and the capital city have affected half a million people and displaced 100,000.??
- South Korea: Typhoon Hinnamnor, the strongest cyclonic storm this year so far has resulted in 7 casualties, destroyed a huge amount of infrastructure, and $1 million worth of supercars in South Korea.??
- Japan: Typhoon Nanmadol resulted in causalities, massive power outages, and cancelled bullet train services, ferries, and hundreds of flights.?
- Florida: At least 21 people are confirmed dead due to Ian Hurricane, leaving more than 2.5 million homes and businesses without power.??
- Canada: Hurricane Fiona along with heavy rain and winds gusted up to 110 mph knocked down trees and power lines.??
- Canary Islands: Tropical Storm Hermine battered the Canary Islands, causing power outages, landslides, floods, and 215 flight cancellations.?
- Philippines: At least five people died leaving floods and power outages after Super Typhoon Noru, locally known as Karding, hits the Philippines.??
- Uganda: Minimum of 15 people died and faced the destruction of crops, homes, and infrastructure after heavy rainfall triggered landslides after the East African nation was hit once again.?
- El Salvador: Landslides in the nation resulted in several casualties and the destruction of properties.?
- Kazakhstan: A wildfire in northern Kazakhstan kills one person, injuring more than dozen, displacing almost 2,000 people, and destroying or damaging nearly 100 homes.?
- US State of California: The death toll stands at four and has forced thousands of residents to evacuate from Labor Day wildfires across the US state of California.?
- US State of Oregon: 2,000 Oregon homes are evacuated as the Cedar Creek fire quadruples in size between August to September. The fire burned over 86,000 acres (34,802 hectares), contributed to multiple infernos, and Seattle recorded the worst air quality of any major city in the world.??
