The harsh reality of a long working day!

I dedicate an entire session in my coaching program to energy.

Many of my clients are initially surprised, but the truth is, energy management is a cornerstone of achieving sustainable success and fulfilment in both your professional and personal life.

The Modern Workday Dilemma

Most professionals today are working between 12 to 14 hours per day. While this might seem like a badge of honor, it often leads to exhaustion.

You come home late, leaving little time for your family, and this leaves you feeling guilty and unsatisfied.

The cycle continues as you sleep poorly, make no time for exercise, and seldom eat healthy meals, often grabbing something quick on the run or at your desk.

The Hidden Costs of Long Hours

Responding to increasing demands at work by putting in longer hours might seem like the only solution, but it comes at a high cost.

Physically, mentally, and emotionally, the toll is significant.

You might notice declining engagement, increasing distraction, high turnover rates, and even soaring medical costs among employees.

The fundamental problem with working longer hours is that time is a finite resource.

Energy, however, is a different story.

Investing in You, Not Just Time

To truly thrive, we need to shift our focus from extracting more hours from our day to investing more in them. When people are energised, they are motivated and able to bring their best selves to work every day.

This is where energy management comes into play.

Recognising and Changing Energy-Depleting Behaviours

To recharge, individuals need to recognise the costs of energy-depleting behaviors and take responsibility for changing them, regardless of their circumstances.

In my program, clients undergo a transformation by adopting rituals and behaviors that help them manage their energy better.

For instance, setting an earlier bedtime and giving up drinking, which often disrupts sleep, leads to waking up more rested and motivated to exercise regularly.

Positive Impacts Beyond Work

The benefits of effective energy management extend beyond professional life. Many clients report that the program positively impacts their relationships, productivity, and overall performance.

Before exploring ways to increase physical energy, participants take an energy audit.

They identify counterproductive behaviours such as skipping breakfast, failing to express appreciation to others, struggling to focus on one task at a time, or spending too little time on activities that give them a sense of purpose.

The Power of Awareness

While most clients aren’t surprised to learn these behaviours are counterproductive, seeing them all listed in one place is often uncomfortable and provided valuable insight.

This awareness is the first step towards meaningful change.

Transform Your Life with Energy Management

Energy management isn’t just about feeling better; it’s about performing better and living a more fulfilling life.

By prioritising energy, you can improve your engagement, focus, and overall well-being, both at work and at home.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards transforming your life, start by completing my High Performance Assessment.

Drop me a message to grab yourself a copy.

I would love to hear your thoughts on how you keep your energy levels consistent through your day.
