From Romania to Remote: How Talent Point Took My Career to the Next Level.

For me, a hiring process is more then just creating a basic JD and starting to look for what could be a ‘’matching’’ candidate. A hiring process is the connection that I build between me, the hiring managers and the candidates, and everything else that’s happening in between to make sure I am delivering a great experience for all parties.

Before joining Talent Point, I felt a hunger to move my career forward and be part of a company that really understand the complexity of Talent Acquisition – moreover, a company that operates in the most organised, modern and efficient possible way.

When joined Talent Point, almost 18 months ago, I had the opportunity to meet with the board and I was truly amazed – the UK embedded consultancy model was completely new to me and I haven’t heard of anything similar in Romania.

After the get to know meetings, I received an offer that I’ve accepted on spot. Talent Point has checked all of the important boxes that I needed to have purpose for my work and also to be able to get to the next level of knowledge and skills in end-to-end Talent Acquisition.

Working remotely for an UK embedded consultancy firm:
Being based in Bucharest, I am the first Romanian that Talent Point has ever hired.

Although the interview steps were quite complex, I believe that both me and TP were a little bit unsure it terms of what to expect from each other being the first time the company has worked with someone completely remotely in Romania, but I received trust from my colleagues and I wanted to make good use of it.
?
Despite being located in Romania, I've never felt disconnected from the business. We have frequent meetings throughout the month where we discuss updates and all aspects about what’s happening across the current projects. I'm regularly invited to meet the team in person at our office in London, which I always enjoy. So far, I've had the chance to participate in significant events like the annual Amazing Race and the Christmas party, both of which were delightful experiences.

On top of everything, as mentioned before, I am having a fantastic team that helped me to integrate immediately and to work at my highest potential.
