Foxconn announces a 4% increase in their revenue compared to 2023
Taiwan's Foxconn (2317.TW), the world's leading contract electronics manufacturer and Apple's primary iPhone assembler, announced on Thursday that its November revenue rose by 3.47% compared to the previous year.?
The figure reached T$672.6 billion ($20.75 billion), marking the second-highest revenue for the month on record. In a statement, the company noted that fourth-quarter operations are expected to achieve substantial quarterly and annual growth, though no further specifics were provided.
Nvidia and the Vietnamese government in talks for AI research and development
Nvidia and the government of Vietnam will join to set up an AI research and development center in the country, under an agreement signed last on November 29th. According to Nvidia’s CEO, it was one of the company’s goals to expand the partnerships with Vietnam’s tech companies, supporting the country in its journey to develop AI and digital infrastructure.?
FPT, a Vietnamese firm, said in April that they were planning to build an AI factory using Nvidia’s software and their chips, for $200 million dollars. According to Vietnam’s Prime Minister, AI can bring on growth, and the country can start to develop clean energy as well.?

TSMC and Nvidia join forces for AI chip production
According to sources linked to Reuters, TSMC and Nvidia are in talks to produce Blackwell AI chips in a new plant in Arizona. TSMC is already making preparations to start producing them in 2025.?
Blackwell chips, launched in March this year, have been manufactured in Taiwan this entire time. The demand is high, especially from customers creating generative AI. If this agreement is completed, TSMC’s Arizona facility would have another customer to provide to.?
