Hey - It's Craig!
It’s cloudy outside and it's 36 degrees in New York.
Getting ready to have a salad with organic walnuts.
Today, we will talk about 3 tips I learned from rejection to success.
Are you ready for this? Let's go!
------------------------------
Last Monday, I received an email for a Coaching Application
It was the application for mentorship closing in 24 hours.
Forgot to apply.
I got rejected the last time I applied last August.
This is for a mentoring community for customer success and post-sales professionals
Last Thursday, I got in.
They loved my application.
For the next three months, I will be paired up with a Customer Success/post-sale industry leader.
Here are the three tips I learned from rejection to success:
Tip #1: Rejection is reflection
It will happen to you.
To reflect on: "What did I do wrong?"
Or rather: "What I should have done a better job on?"

When I got rejected last August, it hurt.
My application in their words was "very strong".
It made me more humble after a defeat.
You're not going to win every interview or application.
Had to reflect on it and approach things better.
Tip #2: Rejection is a stepping stone to success
Back then, I interviewed for a hotel and failed 6 times.
When I won the interview, it was a sign of relief.
This was filling in as a temp at a hotel in Manhattan in New York.
Because I did an excellent job, I was requested to fill in for people on vacation.
Treat every opportunity and rejection as an audition for the next one.
Tip #3: Share your failures and success
What I learned from a friend is this:?
"Don't treat failure as a final defeat; treat it as an experience."
It's an experience to share.
To help people reframe failure and turn it into success
To recap:
1. Rejection is reflection.
2. Rejection is a stepping stone to success.
3. Share your failures and success.

2 å¹´Great tips, Craig! Thanks for sharing. I definitely agree that rejection can be a valuable learning experience, and it's important to reflect on what we can improve upon. One lesson I learned from my failures is the importance of perseverance. Sometimes it's easy to give up after one rejection or setback, but I've learned that success often comes from continuing to push forward and not giving up on our goals.
