From Prospecting to Pitching: How We Generated $25K in Four Days

If you’re a business owner or entrepreneur, you know the thrill of closing new clients. It’s a rush that never gets old, and it’s especially sweet when you’re able to close multiple clients in a short amount of time. That’s exactly what happened to us recently, and I’m excited to share our tips with you on how we closed six new clients in just four days, equaling $25,000 in new revenue into the business.

Now, before we dive into our tips, let’s get one thing straight: closing new clients isn’t easy. But with the right strategies in place, you can make it happen. And that’s exactly what we did. So, without further ado, here are our top five tips on how to close more clients and make more money.

  1. Create a Sales Organization The first thing we did was create a sales organization within our business that focused solely on converting new clients every single day. This is key to any business — you have to recognize that you’re a sales organization that provides XYZ service. For instance, if you were a roofing company or a lawn care company, you would constantly have people banging on doors and creating a sales organization around it. The same goes for a medical business. If you’re a PT practice, a chiro practice, or a PA’s office, you would constantly have people prospecting and hitting up the phones every single day.
  2. Create a Flow of New Prospects Once we had our sales organization in place, the next step was to create a flow of new prospects. We did this by creating a flow through ads and cold calling. These are two optimal ways of actually creating new flow into the business every single day. So, now we have flow coming in, and our sales organization is ready to start converting those prospects into paying clients.
  3. Focus on Volume The third thing we did was focus on volume. We see people day in and day out who think that just making 200 cold calls a day is enough. But the truth is, you have to understand the volume lever. That’s one of the key leverage points you can pull to create more action and more leverage inside your business. For us, that meant each person making over 400 dials a day. So, with five sales people, we were making 2,000 calls a day on average.
  4. Create a Community That You Own The fourth thing we did was create a community that we own. We have a Facebook group of 3,500 potential prospects, an email list of 8,000 prospects, and a text list of 6,000 prospects. It’s constantly growing every single day. You have to create some sort of ecosystem that you can constantly pull from, whether it’s through email, social media, or other means. You want to be top of mind with your potential clients.
  5. Follow Up, Follow Up, Follow Up The fifth and final thing we did was follow up, follow up, follow up. This is where the real magic happens. You can have the best sales organization in the world, but if you don’t follow up with your prospects, you’re leaving money on the table. We followed up with every single prospect, whether they were interested or not. And you know what? It paid off.

Closing new clients isn’t easy, but with the right strategies in place, you can make it happen. And don’t forget to have a little fun along the way. For instance, we like to make jokes with our sales team to keep things light and fun. Like, “Why did the tomato turn red? Because it saw the salad dressing!” Okay, maybe that’s not the best joke, but you get the idea. Find ways to keep things light and fun.
