From the Plains to the Peaks: Summiting For a Cause

From the Plains to the Peaks: Summiting For a Cause

Standing atop the world's highest peaks is a transformative experience. The air is thin, the view is awe-inspiring, and the sense of accomplishment is overwhelming. As you gaze upon the rugged terrain below, you become one with nature, a beautiful and inseparable part of its grand tapestry. Every step, every challenge, and every drop of sweat led to this moment of pure triumph. Summiting a mountain is like touching the heavens, an out-of-body experience that defies words and leaves an indelible mark on your heart and soul.

Shrikant Nistane

Growing up in central India, where the landscape stretches endlessly in all directions, I have always felt the invisible pull toward hiking mountains always tugged at my heart. Today, as the founder and CEO of Crave InfoTech, a partner at HARP Capital Group, and a dedicated family man, I've consistently strived to bring about positive change. Yet, the dream of summiting Everest has remained a constant, a symbol of the challenges we face and the heights we can reach when we set our minds to it.

The Call of Everest…

For as long as I can remember, the dream of trekking to Mt. Everest has been etched in my heart. Hiking and trekking became more than just hobbies; they became the avenues through which I discovered my strength and resilience.?

Now, as I prepare to undertake this journey, it's not just about reaching new heights but also about making a significant impact on two crucial causes close to my heart: supporting veterans' mental health and providing shelter and education for underprivileged children.

From October 1st to October 10th, 2023, as my nine college buddies and I set forth on this remarkable journey, it won't merely be a box checked off a bucket list. It's a mission that stretches far beyond ourselves. It's about giving wings to little children and solace to our wounded heroes. Each step we take, every drop of sweat we shed, kindles a new light of hope and possibility.

Pledging for Veterans' Mental Health

My dedication to supporting veterans' mental health stems from deep gratitude and duty. Veterans have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, putting their lives on the line to protect American citizens.

Yet, many return home to face a different kind of battle – an inner struggle, often concealed from view.

Mental health is not an isolated issue— it's a societal concern that ripples through our communities and families. It's a silent battle, often concealed, even when it occurs right before our eyes.?

Donate Now to Wounded Warrior Project

This battle is what I aim to address through the Wounded Warrior Project (WIP), and I've set a goal to raise $5,000 for this noble cause during my 10-day journey to the Everest Base Camp. Please donate generously to exceed this modest goal.

Empowering Underprivileged Children

Every child deserves a secure and nurturing environment where they can thrive, learn,?and grow into future leaders and changemakers. Education is the key that can break the cycle of poverty. However, due to a lack of resources and opportunities, countless children in India are denied the basic right to education and a healthy lifestyle.

I've taken a pledge to help these underprivileged kids in India to get better education and a place to live.

Donate Now for AIM for SEVA

In our family, we've been passionately engaged in philanthropic endeavors, particularly through AIM for Seva— an organization deeply committed to providing underprivileged children in India with essential support. AIM for Seva's impactful work extends across India, encompassing over 125 hostels, schools, and healthcare centers, all dedicated to giving these children the chance they deserve.

Hiking to an Inclusive Society?

My childhood dream of climbing mountains has now turned into fulfilling the dream of thousands of children. It has become bigger than me, bigger than all of us. Contributing to a noble cause can conquer societal challenges and breathe a lifeline to ease people's lives.

I invite you to join me on this transformative journey, to stand with me as we summit Everest together and declare, 'I believe in making a difference.' Your generosity can be the turning point in someone's life.

Let's make this journey a symbol of hope, unity, and positive change. Together, we can touch lives, one step at a time— Donate now!
