From a Passion to a Startup.

From a Passion to a Startup.

Anyone that knows me, knows how obsessed I am with Horses.

I was born in a city called Newmarket where horse racing, tradition and Equestrianism leads. In a family of racehorse riders and trainers, where as a kid I was constantly surrounded by horses. It's a unique and complete part of who I am.

If anyone was to ask me as a kid what I wanted to do in my life, everything had always been related to Equestrian Sports. My parents found me more than passionate for these creatures, rather obsessed. I would think about them all the time; building my entire life around their beings and my capacity to constantly become a better rider, a better horse-woman.

This passion led me to travel to some unknown territories to ride, train, and work with horses. It led me to take crazy risks, break a few bones, cry many times learning how to strive under pressure to get better.

If you're a stranger to this field, you might not think of it the way I do. Horses are often linked with status, wealth and power however in my case It was always linked with discipline, care and love.

You wouldn't believe the amount of effort and hard-work anyone must put into the training and care of a horse for this one to be well, healthy and effectively trained.

As a teen, my mornings were spent a the stable, at the shows, in the boxes. These mornings were very much made of tiring and dirty work, far from the glamorous image horses have and the luxury etiquette. However the discipline acquired through this Sport is what taught me that to be successful you have to put yourself in the hard work, in order to rise and succeed you must always stand back up after a fall. When you work with horses, you never really look at the hours, it's an around the clock job where your animals's well-being is more important than yours. Working in Equestrian sports is a real way to get lifetime valuable lessons and the foundations of an ambitious and driven mind.

Several years ago, working in the field of horses I've been slowly able to understand the problems with the market, the issues with the industry and the way in which things truly needed to change. Through these years of working in England, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, France and the amount of time spent with these creatures I've really felt a strong need to impact positively the market. Also, being the daughter and grand-daughter of fantastic horsemen, I makes tremendous sense for me to follow the family's craft and legacy.

Today being able to bring together my passion for entrepreneurship, business and equestrian sports while knowing that I'm doing this for the bettering of the market is a blessing. It's an old dream, which is slowly coming to a reality and it's mind blowing to know that by tomorrow I will officially be the founder of BRIDL.

The market needs to change and that what we're bringing.

Change, innovation and transparency for a better trade ecosystem.

I cannot wait to see what the future holds and where this adventure will lead me.

May this be one blessing among many others.
