The world was in freefall. The pandemic had thrown businesses into chaos, and one company, let's call them "Aegiss," was teetering on the edge. But within 18 months, Aegiss had not only survived, they had thrived - growing a staggering 4x in size. How did they do it??
It wasn't magic, it was the IMPACT model. A framework that I, as an accountability partner, helped implement.

It's a roadmap for any business looking to navigate turbulent times and emerge stronger on the other side. Here's how it works:?
I: Intention?
The first step was crystal-clear intention. We made sure every board member, the CEO, and every executive knew exactly where they wanted Aegiss to be in 18 months.
Not a vague vision, but a sharp, succinct target. Clarity is power, and it's the foundation of IMPACT.?
M: Mindset?
The next challenge was mindset. We had to shift from the "we'll just get through this" mentality to one that embraced growth and opportunity.
This meant building a culture that welcomed risk, but within clearly defined boundaries. It meant empowering the team to think outside the box and explore new possibilities.?
P: People?
This is where it got tough. We took a hard look at the executive team, making some difficult decisions.
A few individuals just didn't fit the new vision. We bid them farewell, and brought in two new leaders who were perfectly aligned with Aegiss's new direction and purpose.
The right people, with the right resources, are the fuel that drives any company forward.?
A: Accountability?
We tackled role clarity and accountability head-on. It turned out there was some role duplication and a few areas where responsibility was unclear.

We implemented new feedback mechanisms and ensured everyone was held accountable for their contributions.

C: Cost Leadership?
We scrutinised every expense, identifying gaps and leaks in the cash flow. We streamlined operations, reducing costs wherever possible.
In business, every penny counts, and we had to ensure we were operating efficiently. Cost leadership is not about penny-pinching, it's about maximising resources.?
T: Traction – Where the Rubber Meets the Road?
This is where the real work began. We created a one-page blueprint outlining Aegiss's key goals and objectives.
We then took a hard look at their client base, saying goodbye to those draining resources and freeing up time to attract the ideal clients.
We challenged the sales team to double their ideal client base in 90 days, which turned out to be a game-changer.
And we made sure there was continuous research and development to stay ahead of the curve.?
The IMPACT model isn't a quick fix, it's a journey.
It requires commitment, clear communication, and a laser focus on achieving your goals. But as Aegiss's 4x growth proves, the rewards can be significant.
