From Overwhelmed And Confused to His New Favourite Game...

Happy Monday team.

Let's jump in!

This weekend I had the wonderful privilege of teaching my nephew, Harry T...

How to play chess.

In around 15 - 20 mins we?had him playing the full game.

(You know what kids are like - sponges for information)

In typical fashion, I took a completely different approach and showed him in 7 easy steps.

1) I started by showing him how the horse moves.

For those that don't know the horse moves in a weird L-shape and it can jump over the pieces.

So we played around with that.

2) Then I brought in the Castle.

The castle's dead easy because it goes straight forward and straight to the sides.

3 ) We had a little battle between 2 horses and 2 castles.

Getting familiar with both pieces moving at the same time.

4) Then it was easy to bring the Bishop in.

5) Talk about how the Queen is like a bishop and a castle combined and is a little bit bossy and can do whatever she wants.

I may have mentioned Aunty Emma at this point.

6) The importance of protecting the King, what "check" is and how the game ends.

Last but not least...

7) then we touched on the pawns and how they operate.

Just like that, we had a full game of chess.

...White on the right and whites go first, he was ready.

It was probably only about 10 minutes actually, but my point is...

By looking at...

  • Individual pieces.
  • Stacking and gamifying the movements.
  • Discussing the basic rules, end game, where to focus and what strategies to use.

...He was able to grasp the entire game in the same time it take to snooze the alarm in the morning.

(When he left he took one of our spare sets to practice and show his mum too.)

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I use these 7 steps in most areas of life and business.

Yes, you're absolutely right.

It's part of the 12-week Peak Performance Project blueprint.

Speaking of which...

Do these 10 bullet points resonate with you?

  • You're 40s or early 50s.
  • You're a business leader with a wealth of experience, 3 wonderful kids and travel worldwide with work.
  • You work across multiple sectors managing various projects whilst working long hours,? and have done for years.
  • You're coming to the realisation that for many years you have put work first and your health and well-being second.
  • Since COVID you've been working in an industry where mental health isn't high on people's priorities.
  • You've put a lot of time into the business to make sure that you're looking after people's physical and mental health and you've come to the sudden realization that you haven't prioritised your own.
  • This has resulted in too significant weight gain and you've reached the point where you're now at the heaviest you've ever been.
  • Your own mental health whilst in reasonable condition is suffering because of the fact that you’re not feeling able to exercise.
  • You're not happy with the person you see in the mirror or the shop window as you walk past, and as a result, you don't enjoy buying clothes for yourself or spending money on yourself either.
  • You're earning?a lot of money and are successful in work but it's getting to the point where you're thinking if I can't enjoy it "what's the point?"

So now you're deciding to do something about it.

You've been reading some of my posts on LinkedIn and you've been inspired by some of my past client testimonials and what we've done together, how I've helped them and you want to be a part of it.

Historically you've never made time for exercise and for many years you fell down the stereotypical "crash diet" approach.

  • The 6-8 Diet.
  • The keto diet combined with intermittent fasting.
  • The Cambridge weight plan.

1) Deep down you know they're all excuses of diets because they’re the lazy way to try and lose weight.

2) You recognised they were very successful on occasion as you lost a good chunk of weight but immediately put it back on when you stopped.

3) You realised they are pointless and dieting wasn't helping your mental health, clearing the brain fog or allowing you to concentrate on your work better and become a better role model and mentor.

Having seen me pop up on your feed, reviewing my work as well as the results my clients get...

You now know it's become a no-brainer and this is something you want to engage in and you're ready to change the way you approach your health,? life and lifestyle.

Officially signing up to a program with me after...

  • Reading my posts.
  • Engaging with my client testimonial videos.

You realise that you are that person that needs somebody to be accountable to.

The fact you've signed up to the program gives you that accountability and makes you take action...

Because there's no way you're going to come on a call and say you haven't hit the targets that we've set?

That's not the way you operate.

So this program gives you accountability, and because of that accountability as well as the embarrassment of not doing it, you're?able to use that force function to make these changes second nature.

After only a few weeks you already feel the benefits of the brain fog clearing and miss a day when you're unable to exercise and stick to your healthy routine.

You're now getting to the point where you are consciously missing it now and in the best head spaces you've been in for years, after only a few short weeks.

You're now starting to feel that you want to exercise because it's starting to make you feel better.

Whereas in the past you wouldn't have exercised first thing because she wasn't getting the benefits?and by 5:30 you would have been in the pub with a couple of pints to relax at night.

If that sounds like you reach out to book your call to learn how these systems when implemented could well change your life over the next 12 weeks.

Here's the link.?

PS Happy Monday.
