As we step next week into the vibrant month of July, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate and acknowledge the significant events and observances the month of June brought to al of us. June is not only the start of summer but also a month filled with important celebrations and milestones that highlight our diversity and commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Juneteenth: A Day of Freedom and Reflection

On June 19th, we celebrated Juneteenth, a pivotal day in American history that marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in 1865. This day is a profound reminder of our ongoing journey toward equality and justice. I am sure we took this opportunity to reflect on our history, celebrate freedom, and commit to fostering an inclusive environment within our organization and beyond.

Pride Month: Embracing Diversity and Inclusion

June is also recognized globally as Pride Month, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and their contributions to society. It's a time to honor the resilience, achievements, and struggles of LGBTQ+ individuals. As we celebrate, let’s reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected for who they are.

Father’s Day: Honoring the Dads

On June 16th, we celebrated Father’s Day, a special occasion to honor fathers and father figures for their unwavering support and guidance. It’s a wonderful time to express our gratitude and cherish the moments with our dads, grandfathers, and mentors. This year, I especially want to celebrate and recognize my father, Raul Lejarza, who is 84 years old. He has always been my driving force into entrepreneurship, my mentor, my friend, and my number one fan. His example of hard work and his unwavering moral and ethical principles continue to inspire me every day.

World Environment Day: Promoting Sustainability

June 5th marked World Environment Day, a day to raise awareness about environmental protection and the importance of sustainable practices. A special day to renew our commitment to sustainability and consider how we can contribute to a healthier planet through our actions at work and home.

Now, as we look forward to July, I am especially excited because it is my favorite month of the year! Not only do we celebrate Independence Day, but I also get to celebrate my birthday. Thank you in advance for all the amazing fireworks I’ll be enjoying in the evening—it feels like a personal celebration!
