from Ola to farming...

The story of Ravi & Siddegowda; from Ola to #farming!!!! The very reason of me coming back from America was to bring our mis-guided youths back into the villages, I wanted to make them aware about the importance of farming, wanted them to work for themselves and lead peaceful healthier life.

Here is a story of 2 youths who were working in Bangalore as Ola cab drivers. Siddegowda & Ravi worked tirelessly as cab drivers from past 15 years in Bangalore, they used earn about 60-70K per month. They almost worked for about 18 - 20 hours a day, their health went for a toss and there was no peace in their lives. Even though the earning was good they could hardly save anything for themselves because of Bangalore's high cost of living. One fine day these two guys packed their bags and came back to their village (G Malligere) in Mandya. Today they own 4 Desi cows (Gir breed) + 1 OX, they get about 20-22 liters of A2 milk each day, they are sell it to Mandya urban customers for about Rs 70 a liter and also they get extra income by selling butter. They work for about 4 hours a day, it's profitable, health has significantly increased (Siddegowda has lost about 10 kilos in 2 months), they spend good amount of time with family and finally harmony has set it's foot into their lives. Many such Ravi and Siddegowda's are returning back to their villages and I feel so happy about how things are unfolding in my Mandya!!!
