As I look back on 2024, I’m filled with massive gratitude for our 12,000+ global partners who trust us to be part of their journey, for our incredible team of 250 whose passion and ingenuity make everything we do possible, and for the many businesses and innovators helping to elevate the MSP industry alongside us. Your dedication, collaboration, and bold vision inspire me every day, and together, we’re creating a future where MSPs don’t just survive—they thrive.

2024 was a transformative year, marked by the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries. A McKinsey survey revealed that 65% of organizations now regularly use generative AI, nearly doubling from the previous year.

In the MSP space, AI tools—particularly those leveraging GPT-based technologies—have started making waves. However, here’s the reality: GPT “wrappers” aren’t the end game. They’re a great first step, but the future of AI in our industry demands something deeper—tools that move beyond surface-level automation to deliver insights and empower MSPs to achieve exceptional results. Context "for the win".

Even with these advancements, being an MSP in today's climate is more challenging than ever. The pressures are real: razor-thin margins, growing client demands, increased regulations, greater competition, and relentless pressure to deliver more with less. Yet, many MSPs still settle for “good enough.”

Here’s the hard truth: in this industry, good enough won’t cut it anymore.

At ScalePad, we believe it’s time for all of us—MSPs, vendors, and the entire ecosystem—to challenge ourselves to be better, think differently, and be bold. It’s not about doing things the way they’ve always been done; it’s about reimagining what’s possible and building something greater together.

  • Killing Complexity: Too many tools, too many headaches. We’re simplifying the chaos with solutions that do the work for you—because your clients don’t care how hard it was; they care that it gets done.
  • Redefining Success: Tickets, CSAT, and uptime are just the beginning. Real unit economics aren’t just about cost-cutting—they’re about growing faster, increasing retention, and having more fun (by delighting clients). At the end of the day, the only unit of economics that truly matters is Customer Success.
  • Raising the Bar Together: Let’s stop treating MSPs like the underdogs. It’s time to elevate the profile of this industry by working together—clients, vendors, and competitors alike—to create something extraordinary.

2025 isn’t about incremental improvement—it’s about transformation. It’s about challenging assumptions, thinking big, and delivering bold results.

Love the message, Chris. The key is going to be the shift from Maintenance to Customer Success. Like the shift to embracing the cloud and then security and compliance in the last decade, this shift to ensuring our customers are seeing true success with their technology investments - driving increased profits or unlocking valuable time trapped in their business by leveraging AI - they’ll be looking to us to provide true leadership and point the way ahead. Making the transition in our customer relationships from IT to Business Technology may represent the hardest lift ahead for many of us. Being accepted in the C-Suite / Ownership Circle as true business Advisors vs IT “personal shoppers” will be essential to remaining relevant in the shift ahead. We here at TransformITive look forward to not only helping ourselves and our clients but to helping light the path ahead for those of us who need or want a leg up.
