FROM MCR OPERATOR TO DISTINCTION GRADUATE BANGKIT ACADEMY

January 2024 marks the end of my incredible journey, an achievement that not only shows dedication and hard work but also resilience in the face of challenges. I have completed a demanding intensive program, which included 400 hours of self-study, 7 soft skills development sessions, as well as live English lessons with native speakers. This program, which lasts almost 6 months, is part of the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program initiative designed to equip participants with skills that are relevant and valuable in the modern world of work.

Flashback of a Journey

During this trip, I faced big challenges, especially because I had to divide my time between this program and my job at a local TV station in East Java. This work demands quite a lot of time and energy, but I remain committed to completing the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program as well as possible. Even so, I never lost my enthusiasm. Every hour of learning, every soft skills session, and every English lesson broadens my insight and enriches my skills.

When I look back on this journey, I feel proud because I managed to complete the program with distinction. This is proof that with determination and commitment, nothing is impossible. The Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program has given me a lot, from technical knowledge to personal development, all of which have been invaluable to my career and personal life. Now, I am ready to share my experiences and valuable lessons learned, in the hope of inspiring and helping others achieve their dreams.

Networking and Learning Capstone Project

One of the most prominent aspects of this program is the capstone project which is the culmination of all the learning I have gained. This capstone project provides an opportunity for me and my team to apply all the knowledge and skills we have learned in creating real and relevant technology solutions. Our project focuses on developing applications designed to overcome the problem of lack of literacy in Indonesian script.

After the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program ended, I continued to be committed to developing myself by participating in various other relevant training. These trainings cover a variety of topics from the latest technology to further soft skill development. Every training I take provides new insights and enriches the skills I have, making me better prepared to face challenges in the professional world.

Apart from that, I also have the honor to be a Bangkit Ambassador. In this role, I have the opportunity to share the experiences and knowledge I have gained during the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program with the wider community. As a Bangkit Ambassador, I am involved in various activities such as seminars, workshops and mentoring sessions, where I can inspire and help others to reach their full potential. This role not only allows me to give back to the community, but also strengthens my professional network and expands the positive impact I can have.
