From Machine-Centric Web 2/ 3 / 3.0 / 5 / x to a Human-centric, Internet of Value.

The Evolution of Web Technologies: Machine-Centric

Since the dawn of Web 1.0, we’ve been focused on building technology that optimizes machine-to-machine communication. With Web 2.0, we entered the age of social media, where platforms scaled through the centralized control of user data, while Web3 promises decentralized systems through blockchain technology. Now we even have terms like Web5, Web69, and Web420, which are largely just rebranding attempts. But, regardless of the version, the central theme remains the same: these technologies are all about machines talking to each other.

From the HTTP protocol (which allows machines to share data across the web) to blockchain layers that enable decentralized applications powered by value exchange protocols, the goal has always been to improve machine-to-machine interactions. But where does this leave us, the people?

If we really want to build an internet optimized for humans, the entire internet architecture needs to evolve to reflect human needs, human value, and most importantly—**human time**.

The Core Problem with Web3 and Its Successors

Same Old Game with New Buzzwords

Despite all the hype, Web3 is just a new spin on the same framework. It’s more about technical advancements like block size, transaction speed, and settlement layers, but it still lacks a focus on people, the most crucial part of any economy.

Web3 to Web5: Missing the Human Element

Whether it's Web3 or the overhyped Web5, all of these iterations are protocols for machines. They let machines talk to each other more efficiently. Even in decentralized finance, we’re not talking about people-to-people value exchange; we’re just speeding up wallet interactions. The human factor remains poorly integrated, relying on the same fragmented, inefficient system.

Why We Need The Internet of Value

This is where The Internet of Value comes in. The name itself reflects the shift we need: from an internet designed for machines to an internet that values human contributions.

To truly build something human-first, we have to rethink how value is created before exchanged.

Time as the Most Equitable Asset:

What’s the most equitable asset we all share? It’s time. Unlike wealth, property, or access to resources, time is the only asset distributed equally across all humans.

Everyone has 24 hours in a day.

The Internet of Value recognizes that and is built around this core principle—how we capture, quantify, and exchange value based on time, skills, and wellbeing.

Enter VHTTP: The Protocol for Human-Centric Value

The transition from HTTP to VHTTP marks a shift from machine-focused interaction to human-centered value exchange. If HTTP allowed the world to access the web, VHTTP (Valuable Human Time Transfer Protocol) ensures that the web of the future will center around the human experience—optimizing not for data, but for human value.

http vs VHTTP of TheInternetOfValue

As you can see, VHTTP brings a new layer of human interaction to the internet, addressing the shortcomings of previous protocols like HTTP and the decentralized promises of Web3.

VHTTP Empowers People, Not Machines:

HTTP and blockchain-based protocols (Web3, Web5, etc.) are great for machines, but VHTTP is built for humans. It’s not about speeding up transaction times; it’s about making sure that human contributions (like time, skills, and wellbeing) are captured, measured, and rewarded.

- Beyond Financial Incentives:

Today’s web is driven by financial systems and corporate platforms that don’t value human wellbeing. In contrast, VHTTP uses a model that integrates wellbeing metrics—including emotional, cognitive, and physiological states—so that value is more holistically captured. This isn’t just about money; it’s about human flourishing.

Unified Across Contexts:

Unlike Web3’s fragmentation (with different blockchains and tokens), VHTTP is unified. There’s no need to jump from chain to chain, or learn complex tokenomics. VHTTP is designed to allow humans to log their time, capture their skills, and contribute to communities in a seamless, interoperable way.

Why Does It Matter?

If we’re building an internet for humans, the name should reflect that—it’s why we call it The Internet of Value. And just as the underlying protocol of the modern web is HTTP, the protocol for The Internet of Value is VHTTP. This is the missing piece that Web3 and its successors haven’t addressed. Without a protocol that captures human value—not just machine interactions—we’re stuck rebranding the same old concepts.

- Web2, Web3, Web5 are just numbers.

But The Internet of Value? It’s a paradigm shift—a shift from machines talking to each other to humans exchanging real value.

Join Us on October 2nd: The Future Starts with The Internet of Value

On October 2nd, we’re launching The Internet of Value. It’s powered by VHTTP, but it’s more than just a technical upgrade. It’s a new vision for the future of the web, one that places humans at the center of the digital ecosystem. We’ve built a system where time, skills, and wellbeing are the drivers of human flourishing in this new economy.

Join us as we unveil a new approach that prioritizes people, not machines.
