From Lockdowns to AI Learning Mentor: How I Found My Place in the AI Revolution

In 2020, when the world hit pause, so did my career.

For 15 years, my career revolved around strategy and operations—until COVID changed everything overnight.

At first, I made the most of it. The first lockdown was a gift—I finally finished my MBA final project (even though my exchange program in Europe had to be scrapped). I also immersed myself in psychology, something I’d always been drawn to but never had the time to study properly.

Little did I know that these two interests—business and psychology—would lead me straight into AI.

The Intersection of AI, Psychology, and Business

While studying psychology, I kept circling back to one simple question: How do humans make decisions?

This naturally extended into my MBA studies—how do businesses make decisions? What factors influence strategy, leadership, and innovation?

And then I saw the shift happening.

AI was no longer a futuristic fantasy. It was creeping into businesses, shaping decision-making, automating tasks, and changing how we work. That’s when my curiosity kicked in:

? How does AI affect human behavior at work?

? How do companies integrate AI without losing the “human” element?

? What’s the best way for professionals to actually use AI—without needing to be engineers?

So, I did what I do best: I started experimenting.

I played with AI tools, tested different platforms, and slowly integrated them into my own work—wherever they made sense. No hype, no fluff—just practical application to see what worked and what didn’t.

Then, the job offers came. Over the past two years, I’ve worked across different industries, implementing AI tools in real business environments. But one thing became clear:

AI learning is broken.

On one side, you have tech-heavy AI courses that assume you want to code and build machine learning models. On the other, you have high-level business theories that talk about AI but don’t teach you how to use it.

Most professionals? They fall somewhere in between.

?? They don’t need to build AI.

?? They don’t need abstract theories.

? They need to know: How can AI help me do my job better, faster, and smarter?

Why AI Learning Mentor Exists

Fast-forward to today. In the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of traveling through Japan and Korea, immersing myself in how different industries are integrating AI.

And I’ve realized: There’s a massive gap in AI education.

Most professionals want to learn AI. They just don’t know where to start.

That’s why I created AI Learning Mentor.

?? It’s not a tech bootcamp.

?? It’s not a generic AI theory session.

?? It’s a practical, hands-on mentoring program that meets professionals where they are.

I’m not here to teach you how to code. I’m here to help you find the right AI tools for your work and actually use them in a way that makes sense.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing in my AI Learning Mentor workshop.

What Happens at the First AI Learning Mentor Workshop?

AI is powerful, but let’s be clear—not every problem needs AI.

I don’t believe in forcing AI into everything just because it’s trendy. Most of the time, the real bottleneck isn’t technology—it’s people and processes.

Throwing an expensive AI solution at a problem won’t magically fix broken workflows, unclear responsibilities, or outdated processes.

Instead of rushing to implement AI as a band-aid, we need to start where it actually matters:

Problem identification.

As Albert Einstein famously said, "If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions."

And that’s exactly what we’ll do in our first AI Learning Mentor workshop.

Step 1: Understanding Your Work Challenges

AI is only effective if it solves the right problem.

Before we touch a single AI tool, we’ll break down:

?? What’s slowing you down? – Too many repetitive tasks? Bottlenecks in communication? Manual data entry?

?? What’s actually causing the problem? – Lack of resources? A flawed process? People not using existing tools effectively?

?? Is AI even the right solution? – If a better workflow or clearer roles solve the issue, AI might not be necessary at all.

Step 2: Identifying the Best AI (If You Need It)

Not all AI tools are created equal. And just because a tool is trending doesn’t mean it’s right for your work.

We’ll go through:

?? What’s your real need? – Automating reports? Organizing data? Improving communication?

?? Which AI tools actually fit your role? – You don’t need to learn everything. You just need what’s useful.

?? How does AI integrate with what you already use? – No one has time for another disconnected app that creates extra work.

Step 3: Hands-on Problem Solving

This isn’t a theory session. We’ll take what we’ve uncovered and:

?? Map out practical steps – AI or not, what changes can you implement immediately?

?? Test simple AI solutions – If AI is the right fit, we’ll explore real use cases.

?? Give you clear next steps – No more AI confusion. You’ll leave with a real plan.

The Goal? Clarity & Confidence—Not Complexity.

I’ve seen too many businesses waste thousands on AI tools they don’t even use properly. That’s why we start with the problem, not the technology.

Because AI isn’t here to replace you. But the professionals who learn how to use it wisely? They’re the ones getting ahead.
