From Intolerance to Wellness: A Personal Path to Inner and Outer Health

It's been many years since I published my first recipe book and even longer since I began my journey with an allergy-free diet. Initially, I believed that food intolerances were permanent, but I've since discovered that this isn't necessarily true. As of January 2010, I no longer experience the reactions to foods that I once did. So, what changed? I did. Through years of personal growth and evolution, I’ve transformed mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, which, in turn, has shifted how I feel physically.

While my own inner journey began with changes to my diet, many others have started with emotional or spiritual work and are now realizing the need to focus on physical health as well. All aspects of the self—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—are interconnected and must be nurtured. In fact, the rising focus on diet in North America, with "gluten-free" becoming a household term, reflects a broader shift in collective awareness.

Instead of prescribing a specific diet for everyone, I encourage you to avoid the foods that you, personally, are intolerant to right now. You are unique on every level, and your body knows what it needs. Trust your intuition—your inner guidance will reveal which foods are best for you.
