"The internship allowed for an easy decision to be made when choosing to stay on as a graduate engineer or to go elsewhere. The internship allowed me to build relationships with my colleagues in the workplace, which made the transition to a graduate engineer a much smoother process and allowed me to settle into my new work environment a lot faster. During my time as an intern, it gave me an insight into how Ashton Fire conducts their business and what the future can potentially hold, this makes me very excited to join and help Ashton Fire in their efforts towards future goals. Now that I am a graduate engineer with my previous experience with Ashton Fire, I have a good grasp on what is expected and how to conduct my work with the utmost professionalism. With a good foundation already made from the internship and now going on to a graduate engineer with the support of my colleagues, I’m excited to see what the future holds for Ashton Fire and myself."

Odhran Byrne

"I’m delighted to start this new chapter of becoming a Graduate Fire Engineer with Ashton Fire. After successfully completing an internship over the past 12 months with the group here in the Buncrana office, it has made the transition that much easier. Having already built relationships with the people in the office when working as an intern, beginning as a full-time member of the team was that much easier with the previous experience I had in the environment. The positive and inclusive work culture from everyone here at Ashton is what stands out as a place where I enjoy being a part of. I’m eager to play my part on projects for Ashton Fire and keep learning each and every day."
