When I started investing in myself, I took a Greyhound bus from Miami to Dallas to attend a motivational workshop. My momma made me frog legs, sandwiches, and sweet potato pie that were supposed to last the entire 24 hour trip. When I arrived at this massive seminar, I was hungry…I ate the frog legs within the first two hours of the trip! But more importantly, I was hungry for information.

I sat in every seminar. Asked questions and studied every presenters walk, pace, and tone.No one understood why I would take a 24 hour drive for self-development when I had a good paying job as a garbage man. And when I arrived back to Miami still as a garbage man, I was taunted by friends…
