Our insights inform and challenge government to improve outcomes for citizens
Applications are now open for the 2025 graduate program at the Audit Office of New South Wales. To help prospective grads understand what’s on offer, we caught up with some former grads to find out why applying for our grad program was the best career decision they’ve made.
Let’s start with Assistant Auditor-General Scott, who joined the Audit Office as a grad more than 30 years ago. In this video, Scott reflects on the opportunities, as well as the people and purpose, who have helped him to get where he is today.
Caroline, now a director at the Audit Office, graduated from the University of NSW more than two decades ago. She reflects, ‘I’ve had an amazing experience at the Audit Office. I suppose I never thought I would be here 24 years later. The reason I'm still here is because of the amazing experience I've had. I've got to work on so many diverse clients within NSW government, I've worked with so many people, and I've had amazing leaders that have really helped me progress along the way.’
For Audit Leader Quentin, a career at the Audit Office means working flexibly and receiving lots of opportunities to develop as a financial auditor. He speaks to the diversity of clients across state, local government and university sectors, and support to gain professional qualifications.
