From graduate to director: reflecting on our grad program

Director Weini graduated from Macquarie University in 2006 with a major in accounting.

‘I was a university lecturer for two years, teaching the next generation of accountants. Then I decided to pursue a career in auditing and joined the Audit Office in 2009. You know at that time I was thinking whether audit is right for me, but I decided to give it a go because I felt that this is a place that you can make a real impact,’ Weini reflects.

‘I have never regretted the decision that I made at that time.’

Weini says that seeing staff who have been at the Audit Office for decades is a testament to the sense of community we share at the organisation.

‘If you're looking for a career that's challenging, rewarding, meaningful, and never boring, I think the Audit Office is right for you.’
