From Google to Oprah and the Pope: Creativity and Courage in Marketing.

My friend and long-time business acquaintance, Mark-Hans Richer has some news I wanted to help him share. Introducing Richer Inc.

I’ve known Mark-Hans Richer since the Google-General Motors partnership he spearheaded many years ago. His 2006 Pontiac ads were the first-ever use of the Google brand and search bar in a TV commercial. (Many years before Google even advertised itself!)

You may recall a more widely known Pontiac marketing partnership; The Oprah Car Giveaway. "You get a car! You get a car! Everybody gets a car!” Yep, that was MHR’s work.

After these and other break-through campaigns at GM, Mark-Hans served as Harley-Davidson's first ever CMO. Over an 8 year period Mark-Hans built the modern marketing foundation for an iconic (aka old-school) brand and even pulled in the new Pope to help. More recently, MHR completed two great marketing consulting projects - one for Under Armour and one for Coach. Again producing exceptional results.

The thing that has struck me from the beginning - back in those early Google days - is how different Mark-Hans was from almost every other brand marketer I spoke with at the time and have known since. Media and advertising was starting to change quickly – and it continues to do so today. Where many brand marketers lacked the courage or simply the knowledge on how to leverage these new opportunities for brands MHR was different. The bigger and more traditional the brand - the harder it is to get the organization to change – to do things differently. Mark-Hans has consistently shown not only the creativity to leverage these changes as new branding opportunities but the courage and conviction to get them executed.

Now Mark-Hans is starting his own business – helping brands find and develop the courage they need to do breakthrough work. Check-out RicherInc. https://bit.ly/2jbocle

I strongly recommend Mark-Hans and Richer Inc. to any brand.
