From Gadigal to Gaza: ‘The Voice’ was a bad idea

Recent events have shown that critics dismissing the concerns over the 21st-century victim cult as an exaggerated far-right conspiracy theory are failing to recognise the real dangers highlighted by this analysis.
The multitude of individuals marching across the Western world in support of Palestine, often using a genocidal slogan – ‘From the River to Sea’ – shows the nature of this growing mindset that allows the masses to condone what is, in my view, pure evil.
This narrow and fanatical prism through which the victim cult perceives the world leads to the abandonment of basic moral principles and the erosion of the very value system that has afforded its proponents the privileges they currently enjoy, including the right to protest.
A prime example of this moral decline is evident in the case of Palestine, where this ideology permits the acceptance of brutal slaughter, the use of innocent civilians as human shields, and a denial of a state’s moral obligation to defend itself from imminent threats.
The emergence of the victim cult is a deep moral sickness that is weakening the Western world order, exposing us to the threats of emerging powers.
On a macro level, it has given rise to a new ‘Axis of Evil’ comprising China, Iran, and Russia, which some analysts say pose the greatest challenge since the Second World War.
Due to this, the world has become an increasingly unsafe place as our enemies grow emboldened, leading to heightened aggression through conflicts such as those in Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Red Sea, and the Gaza Strip.
On a micro level, an ‘International Coalition of Victims’ is forming, claiming subjugation to ostensible Western oppressors.
This ideology’s nonsensical extremism is evident in movements that wave trans and LGB flags from within Palestinian marches, the addition of black and brown to the LGBT+ Rainbow Flag, and the systematic character assassination of anyone daring to disagree with them.
They ignore fact and reason, with the only unifying factor being victimhood and pseudo-virtue. It is a deeply damaging way to view the world, as it is rooted in the notion that the fabrics that bind our society are broken.
Through this, the proponents of the Victim Cult divide and conquer communities, politics, families, and institutions, leaving society in disunity and weakened, strengthening our enemies.
In Australia, the alignment of Indigenous activists with the Palestinian cause illustrates how destructive the ‘Voice to Parliament’ could have been. It again shows the formation of an ‘International Coalition of Victims’ with an Invasion Day Rally in Sydney calling for:
‘International solidarity, Globalised liberation: End occupation everywhere.’
This is seen in a demand from self-described grassroots First Nations organisations that urge the government to ‘cut ties with and impose sanctions on colonial, apartheid Israel until Palestine is free’.
If activist groups can draw similarities between Indigenous Australians and Palestinians, the logical next step is for them to view their victim status as a rationale for violence.
Instances such as these are a consequence of placing group identity above the individual.
Given this, implementing an organisation with race-based rights perpetually into our Constitution would have created the perfect vehicle for bad actors to capture it in such a way.
History supports the notion that when group identity becomes a call for uprising against oppressors, violence often ensues.

The potential for malevolence has repeated itself over the past hundred years à la National Socialist German Workers, the Bolshevik Party, the Communist Party of China, Hamas, and the Black Lives Matter protests (to a lesser extent).
All these movements, which place group identity above the individual, have led to death and destruction on an insurmountable scale. And, the Indigenous activists’ declaration of solidarity with Palestine raises concerns about the potential for this level of damage.
We have already heard inflammatory language from political leaders who claim there is a war between Australia and Indigenous people.
Unrest can manifest in many ways, including in murals in Australia’s inner cities where the national flag is being shot and lit on fire by Indigenous figures.
We have heard further statements from political leaders in Australia that claim Palestinians know what the trauma of invasion, dispossession, state violence, and occupation is like. Such statements often go on to add,?just as First Peoples in Australia do.
In one case it was said:
‘We share a reality of ongoing genocide and are both yet to experience liberation and the acknowledgment of our sovereignty. Our struggle under settler-colonialism is one struggle. Together we’re fighting for our humanity, for freedom, for land back and for lasting peace’.
Statements such as these are delusional. Firstly, there is no ongoing genocide of Indigenous Australians, some reports show $30 billion is spent each year in government support for Indigenous communities. Secondly, Palestinians are experiencing a live war and have lived under a terrorist regime since 2007, which is incomparable to the Australian experience.
During the Voice to Parliament campaign, leading voices for the ‘Yes’ camp sometimes engaged in behaviour that sought to publicly shame those individuals and organisations that did not toe the line.
These actions reveal the authoritarian streak in the victim cult – ‘you either agree with us or you should not participate in society’.
For this reason, you have big corporations and governments kowtowing to their demands.
After spending investors’ money to donate to the ‘Yes’ campaign, they still haven’t learned their lessons, with the big banks allowing staff to swap the Australia Day holiday and supermarkets refusing to sell merchandise for our national day of celebration.
Then we have 80 local councils who have decided to change the date of their annual citizenship ceremonies from January 26.
Make no mistake, the new?‘Axis of Evil’?are licking their lips as they watch governments, corporations, and the ‘International Coalition of Victims’ destroy the fundamental principles of the West.
I hope we realise this before it’s too late.
