We here at SLS are thrilled to see Fort Worth and the State of Texas leading the way in the defense industry by forging strategic partnerships with industry leaders like Bell Helicopter. According to the DoD 2023 spending report released in October 2024, Texas surpassed Virginia in defense spending, receiving $71.6 billion. Tarrant County emerged as the top recipient of defense contracting dollars in Texas, with $33.5 billion. Neighboring Dallas County received $7.6 billion, while Collin County secured $1.8 billion. https://www.wfaa.com/article/money/texas-defense-spending-surpass-virginia/287-ba64eda2-8925-4e19-a1bf-9512a5b827e1
