From Floods To Hurricanes And Infernos

I wish to show humility in every manner, for so much loss has occurred over this California that parts of our vineyard towns are ashes this night, and the photographs from the news helicopters appear on the realm of when Nagasaki and Hiroshima were the first to experience the genie in the bottle, the horrible holocaust which leaves nothing but ash. Few understand the ways of California winds which can change on a dime, and at our news hour at PST, Quaint, small, and sweet Calistoga with it's natural springs, sweet spas, a place to rest-- It, too had escaped the first deluge of fire and embers, but the winds changed once more and there is a total city evacuation. At one point yesterday there was earthquake activity as if one shook people by their shoulders and proclaimed, "This is just a beginning, for this earth is one fragile little ball in the universe. The vineyard area of Sonoma has been devastated right here at the harvest time, but instead tongues of fire jump over roadways and in so many cases, it is the right thing to do to allow the fires to be controlled by setting parameters of what can be saved, so the rich and the poor; All are one in this event. Think of being told that you have five minutes to clear out of your home, so grab your pets, the children, and elderly; During those five minutes; What else do you need to save.
This is a difficult day for those of us who have lung damage, and we look down over the city and bay--But this will be a third night of having to try to find a spot as such I cannot hear my own breathing, though it is almost a musical tone or a contented kitty for which purring is natural, and I'll finally give in to the cadence coming from my wounded lungs. I ask all to pray for those who have lost so much, and I cannot imagine, for one place for those with dementia at Santa Rosa had to be evacuated, and it is so hard for dementia patients to deal with any kind of change.
Why is there so much damage in this one year across South and North America. Here most would raise their hands and give us a lecture on the science of fire, how the evergreens with needles dried over many years of drought, and all of the oil these trees have which seeps the wondrous scents are simply lighter fluid. Others such as I are apt to tell you my truth, and though we cannot decode all of the material--The book of Revelations is like a mixed tale of how things will be when the skies are opened and the first to rise will be the dead. I find it to be fascinating that the sound of a trumpet will be the call , and the sky will be filled. I would love to sit down with Pope Frances and to have him clarify questions to have him share his own belief." "No one knows t he day or the hour of the coming of the Lord," That all Christians share some kinship, and we of Catholic backgrounds just do not talk about it that much, for we look at the writings in Revelation then go back to The New Testament .where a tender Jesus allowed himself to suffer for mankind, and through that suffering, through prayer and our seeking of prayer and praise==We do not wish to fear the promise that we would all live again. I know that so many of you , even those who come out of Christian families, that it is too simplistic, that it's all old folk tales, and you find interest in other prophets -- That is your decision, but , but in my thoughts no matter how I apply the science education which I have--There is something beyond you and beyond me., and I feel sorrow for those who are unable to read this one book which is not a favorite in China and among many people who are are not to be caught stuudying this book about a man who changes nations. I will not speak of this much with my Chinese friend, for he is loving his country and his own.. I will not risk his family and job.
Please, those of you can; Pray for the thousands of acres in California,. Those who meditate; Just think of all of the lovely produce of grapes and apples which are a treasure in wine country's most beautiful places. Yes, all of your prayers and thoughts are helpful. People who lost all need to go in and fish through the smoke and the debris.
I want you to pray with me for so many who appeared to have it all, for fires raging on South, and there will be no rain outside of a miracle. I do not believe that I've seen most of a city burn down ever,; And those people on the fire front lines are working often `16 hours at a time. I feel glad to be a Californian in these times, and for all of you==I pray for the wind to become silent. I thank all of you who look at the inferno from planes or helicopters, fo it is there one sees a mid-sized city just managing to get on. Just give it your effort to offer up a prayer with the love and positive energy which you can use to ask for spiritual renewal, for I do not know the end of any of our journeys--But I can almost assure you that you must have strength others may bear. Fill all of our days to recall those who have loved and is it too difficult to hear that some of us feel that acts of compassion are the gifts of a generous people. of
Bless all of those where only gas fires show people where their home once stood. We deeply need to care for one another, so if it feels like the times when Gabriel's trumpet calls; Then it is like the fires and earthquakes. we are children of a Ho lly Man, as well as we are sons and daughters of this lovely garden, and we need not forget there will be as the little children. May your life continue to be outstanding and, I am deeply hopeful that families will give you copies from the sweetest times of your life. We love you good brothers and sisters. We reach out give to known services, and those who line their pockets by taking from elderly or fragile people -- You can make more money as a dish waiter.
Remember my friends that all things take time, and, and seek joy in planning rather than grieving. It will be lovely again when grief and anguish are exchanged for house plans and the way you are comfortable. But take what ever you need and see what fun you can have making plans. and by this time next year, I believe you are going to be happy and back in the area you treasure.
Bless you all, Barbara
