From Fixing Bugs to Developing 3 Another Apps: The Business-Centric Journey

Hey there!

It’s Alex Kholodenko from CodeIT.

Welcome to another edition of my personal newsletter, where I share my thoughts on business-centric approach in tech.

First up, a quick update from my end: I've just landed in sunny Florida!

After soaking in a bit of that sunshine state vibe, I'll be making my way to the hustle and bustle of New York City.

It's always a treat to reconnect with old friends and clients, and while I'm stateside, I'm also on the lookout for some new partnerships.

Stay tuned to my next email—I'll give you a rundown of the events I plan to attend in the US ????

As you know, one of the things I often talk a lot is the power of truly understanding our client's needs.

Today, let me tell you about a real-life story of how our relationship with ConnectSx, a US based company, has evolved through the business-centric approach.

In 5 years our cooperation expanded from a a single developer involved to a full-fledged team collaboration.

Starting Small, Dreaming Big

We began with a senior iOS developer dedicated to the project. He focused on sorting the issues the company faced. But as we got more into, it became clear that there was more to be done.

The Value of a Comprehensive Audit

Upon recognizing the broader challenge, ConnectSx asked us for a full-blown technical audit. Our team dove deep, analyzing project requirements, business goals, and various documentation.

Our aim was simple: bridge the tech and business worlds.

Business - centric solutions we developed:

Inventory Management Web App

  • Get a complete view of their inventory.
  • Seamlessly integrate data from other systems.
  • Never miss product expiration dates again, thanks to automatic tracking.
  • Gather and study product usage stats to make informed decisions.

Business-centric focus:

This wasn’t just an inventory tool; we visualized it as a dynamic dashboard that a healthcare organization would rely upon daily. Our focus was to simplify complex tasks and automate repetitive ones.

Inventory Management Mobile App (iOS)

Even without a stable network connection, users can:

  • Keep an eye on all inventory items.
  • Swiftly find items and view their history.
  • Make transfer requests with ease.
  • Just like the web app, it integrates third-party data, tracks expiration dates, identifies lost items, auto-fills sales forms, and provides valuable stats.

Business-centric focus:

The healthcare professionals are always on the move. So, we made a mobile app that's as powerful as the web version but easy to use anywhere. And, since some places might have bad internet, it works offline too.

UDI Scanning Mobile App

With a simple scan of a unique device identifier (UDI) code, users can:

  • Quickly fetch product details.
  • Track and share the history of scanned items effortlessly.

Business-centric focus:

At its core, this app is all about speed and accuracy. In a busy healthcare setting, professionals need to fetch information fast without any errors. The solution? A scanner that's both quick and reliable.

In Conclusion

Our partnership with ConnectSx exemplifies our approach: dive deep, understand, innovate, and implement. Starting with “Think business before you codeIT” it usually sets the stage for big wins.
