How Linked In Statistics & Analytics Can Help You
Before we list out all the Post-Its from the past week's posts, here is a little detour into using Linked In statistics and analytics meaningfully.
If you haven't already tried it out yourself, please note that Linked In can give you your performance statistics for the past 7 days, 14 days, 28 days, 90 days, and 365 days for Impressions as well as Engagements on each post.
These can be very valuable, particularly if you find yourself in doldrums because a particular piece of content you labored hard over did not yield the type of metrics you expected.
Know that we are all impacted by algorithms and the availability of our core audience on some days, during some months, or around holidays and weekends.
Last week, we shared some statistics on impressions and engagements for posts indicating some algorithmic changes in Linked In.
To continue in the spirit of learning and growing together, here is a snapshot of the engagements for the past 28 days versus the impressions.
These graphs demonstrate a few things:
If we consider the whole year's worth of Impressions and Engagements, we find that our own participation on the platform, with regular content-posting, frequent interactions with others, and consistency of content has resulted in increased impressions as well as engagements over time.
Thus, the advise of many Linked-In Experts, Coaches, and Content Creators is validated to a large extent:
Be consistent and show up if you want to build a network of value. Focus on authenticity and everything else will fall in place over time!
